  1. Update: Problem Solved - I have found out that the BIOS is write protected. I have placed an order for a SPI Programmer. Hello everybody, I recently discovered this bad policy regarding whitelisting the devices that you can connect to your laptop that you paid for and it's your own property. But nevertheless, I have a Lenovo w541 for which I bought a WIFI 6 Network card which is also Lenovo. but I get the famous error 1802. I have dumped the bios using Bios Universal Backup 2.0 - 12MB. Noticed that I have two chips, after which I have used fptw to dump the 8MB chip. I have usued UEFIPatch to patch the whitelistings and advanced settings , also signed the file. I have tried to flash it back on my own risk but I couldn't . Error 28: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS, preventing flash access. Please contact the target system BIOS vendor for an option to disable Protected Range Registers. So now I want to make sure if I do something it's proper and safe. What are the steps for this model? What is the best approach besides using the SPI Programmer that connects direct to the chip. Thanks is advance. BR, ZyoN
