  1. Thank you so much @Tech Inferno Fan I had no idea about any of that...... I came to this community because I had the utmost respect of the knowledge from the people here. Most of all you. I once again have had no luck with Vt support. That is why I came here.....
  2. Geez man I thought people were supposed to help each other out. Unfortunately that's not the case with the world anymore. I'm not looking for support with their product but with setup1.x that I paid for. I haven't had any luck with villagetronic support anyways. They are a bunch of tools. What's the deal @Tech Inferno Fan? It's like you personally don't like me because I bought their product? What a effing joke. Thanks anyways.
  3. I'm running a Sony Vaio vgn-fw139e intel core 2 duo 2.26 Built in ATI radeon mobility 3400 with a gtx550ti eGPU sucessfully running @x1 Only boots with 2gb of ram unfortunately. Trying to get 3gb working at the moment I also have a 4gb stick I want to try once I get this compaction issue working. So ive tried the DSDT override and don't understand how to implement it into my registry without errors. Stuck with Bsod when using setup 1.x for compaction. I have a tolud of 3.0gb and only 128mb of valid pci space. When I run the 36bit compaction on the eGPU (ignore dgpu) I can get it to read 256mb of valid pci space. It doesn't work using 32bit or 32bitA compaction though. When I run the startup.bat/ chainload MBR or win7 it successfully boots but with Bsod. I can hear windows startup sounds just stuck with no display. Heres what my startup.bat looks like. call vidwait 60 10de:11c6 call vidwait -d 10de:11c6 call pci call grub4dos MBR or win7 (both give me bsod) I'm kinda lost using this program any advice on getting my setup to accept more ram? My comp runs like trash with only 2gb.
  4. So I got my issue fixed by simply switching to an nvidia card. As soon as I disabled thr dgpu in device manager it immdiately displayed on my external screen. It had to be a driver issue with the two ati cards (built in) and eGPU not being able to coexist in the same system. It was like they were fighting each other. So I'm all set with the display but I had to reduce to 2gb of RAM. I do have DIY eGPU setup 1.x. I have learned the jist of it but I can't get the compaction to work. Can anyone help me with my RAM issue? I'm currently getting code 12 when trying to boot up using 3gb. Reduce to 2gb and it runs fine.
  5. First thing I tried. Followed his instructions. Display only drivers, disabled on board graphics. My computer just doesn't boot using the external card. It's so frustrating. Villagetronic can't figure it out. If the vidock doesn't work with my setup. The DIY eGPU wouldn't either. So I'm screwed either way. Anyone? @Tech Inferno Fan?
  6. Upgraded to win 7 today and still stuck with same issue. No errors with 2 gb of ram, just won't utilize the external graphics card. No signal coming from the hdmi cable. When I go into display it just shows default LCD monitor on (blank)........ Thats if the dgpu is disabled. I'm lost. Should I switch to a nvidia card? Could it be the two ati drivers not being able to coexist with each other? @Tech Inferno Fan would you be kind enough to make an exception and give me some advice other than directing me to the vidock support/return reply you normally give to ppl like me. Dealing with them has been a nightmare. They send me one liner suggestions every other day. Makes me feel like I know more about this than they do. They suggest the most obvious things that a 10 year old would have already tried. Thanks buzz for your help. I'll get it working somehow.
  7. Windows 7 was going to be my next attempt. Even if that doesn't work I wanted to upgrade anyways. I ordered a copy from amazon should be here tomorrow actually. So we'll see how that goes. Again, thank you very much for your input. You ran the dsdt fix and were successful? I'll have to search that then. 2gb is lame.
  8. I have my external monitor connected via hdmi to the hdtv. No errors on either cards with current drivers. Problem is that it automatically boots using the internal display even when disabled in device manager. When i go display settings during this it shows default monitor on ....... Nothing. As seen in picture, but obviously still using the native display. Im stumped on how to utilize the egpu. Ive tried setup 1.x and it freezes when trying to turn dgpu off. I wanted to try and use compaction to run my original 3gb of ram without the code12 issue but no luck there either. Computer wont turn on with egpu connected with 3gb of ram. Turns on fine once i remove 1gb. I could care less about that right now. I just wanna get this thing actually working first. Thanks buzz for the help really really appreciate it. Here is a pic of the setup connected via hdmi to the tv.
  9. I'm on windows vista and it automatically uses the native display and dgpu. Even with them both found in device manager with no errors I cannot figure out how to get my eGPU to actually be used. If I disable the dgpu in windows it only reverts to a standard vga display and continues using it anyways. Thank you very much for the reply and advice I'm willing to try anything now been working on getting this working for the past week with no luck. Villagetronic hasn't replied in over 3 days now. :/ I'm so anxious to get this thing working. One plus is that the payment to them still hasn't come out of my account lol. Any other ideas? I'm open to anything. Whoever can help me ill Paypal them some cash .
  10. You really hate that company I have come to notice trying to research about my issue. I purchased setup1.x so I have helped the community somewhat. I am lost with using that program tho. Would you be willing to help me if i paid you directly? I know I won't get help with the support from villagetronic. I have tried and tried to contact them about a return and help I have gotten nowhere. If I would have researched more I wouldn't have gone that route but it seem like it was plug and play. It seemed so simple. I know you probably refuse to help ppl like me but I would appreciate it if you could make an exception this time. It's the holiday spirit! I shouldn't have mentioned vidock at all lol.
  11. I removed 1 gb of RAM and now it boots without errors but still can't figure out how to disable the internal display and use the vidock as the primary card on an external display. So lost would really appreciate some advice.
  12. Hi everyone. Ive been searching and searching for info on how to get my setup to work. It seems this is the place to ask excuse my lack of knowledge with this. I can't seem to get my eGPU setup to even work. My setup: Sony Vaio vgn-fw139e laptop windows vista intel core 2 duo @ 2.4 ghz 3.0gb RAM ATI mobility radeon 3400 series built-in I am trying to get my vidock 4 with a Ati radeon 6770 running through a pci express slot, but am stuck with the (code12) allocation issue. I've already purchased the DIY eGPU setup1.x software. I've tried to disable the dGPU and run the compaction with no luck. I'm kinda lost and not sure what I'm doing. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. My bios is very limited doesn't give me any options to disable the internal gpu. It won't even boot unless the card is unplugged. Just trying to get it to display on my tv I could care less about the stock LCD. Please any help would be much appreciated. Villagetronic will not answer my emails.
