  1. I do like the scalability of the Dell M6700. It's an older laptop and it's not "light" or "thin", but its a great virtual portable desktop with a 17.3" screen, I have seen them online for around ~500 USD, and you can put 2 SSDs and an mSATA, 32GB of RAM and a solid AMD or nVidia card. 2. On a side note that's semi-related that I may have missed when signing up: Is it necessary to reach a certain number of posts to be promoted, or is it just time related? I'm extremely excited to try out the vbios for my K5000m. Thanks, Torpek
  3. @qtee Thank you for the reply! I'm really excited to try it out. Thank you for the clock reduction info, I will be sure to look at this as soon as I am able to download the package.
  4. I have an old M6700 I wanted to turn into a "mobile gaming" laptop. The system supports CAD type work with an nVidia K5000m, and has multiple drive slots which I was ecstatic to find in a laptop. I think it has great potential, but trying to identify the best way to modify it for it's new "second life". I know this is supposed to be about me, but I'm not nearly as interesting as my project, so I thought that's what I would share with the community. I certainly appreciate the fact that there is a community like this to engage. Thank you for being here and being engaged! Torpek
  5. I'm new here and have a Dell M6700 with a K5000m. I was curious if anyone with this build and the vbios here see a significant gaming improvement. I am still waiting for the week to pass by in order to download and try it, but I have never done this with a video card as well as I don't truly understand the mechanics of it. I just want to shift the product to perform more like a GTX (as my online research suggests). I'm trying to run RDR2, specifically, but just want to know if others with the same unit and card experience any game play boost (fps, shaders maybe, I don't really know what makes it function better) from mostly newer games at a medium setting. Thanks, Torpek
