[G75VW] - modified BIOS & VBIOS for higher overclocking
Feud replied to svl7's topic in ASUS Gaming Notebook Forum
I would suggest putting a stock bios file on your C: drive and powering off the Notebook, then hold down Ctrl + Home as you power it on and try going back to stock to see if you still have all 4 cores. Task Manager shows threads which are software level cores basically but you really only have 1 core because it emulates 2 threads. -

"Valid" drivers for 3DMark and really any futuremark program are only drivers they've tested and verified as valid -

Followed the instructions and it worked perfectly. I appreciate your work svl7! Thanks -
I'm actually curious about this as well. I was hoping to get a cover for when I transport it to and from school or work. The closest thing I've found is sticker covers... like these or something like this on newegg.

(G75VW) Is there a way to force a BIOS downgrade?
Feud replied to ikith's topic in ASUS Gaming Notebook Forum
Yeah, either put a bios file onto your C:\ drive and power off the machine, then hold down Ctrl + Home with the system off and power it on still holding them down. Otherwise, you can find Asus Winflash and download/install that.. Then run Winflash /nodate in command prompt.
