  1. So I'm running PopOS!, and I've got the svl7 modded bios; like the OP it allows me to enable the integrated graphics, but boots to a black screen. The Linux boot process shows an error about not being to set the backlight level of acpivideo0 (or some such). So this has me wondering a couple of things: 1) Did Lenovo remove some traces on the MB? 2) Is it possible there's a configuration mismatch with the eDP/LVDS settings in the bios? 3) Is the refresh rate too high for the Intel chip, and if so what needs to change?
  2. Hi, all! I was able to successfully flash my bios some time ago; I noticed that the integrated Intel graphics controller now shows up in the bios, and in Linux; however, trying to activate it doesn't work because while it's there Linux (PopOS!) can't seem to set the backlight level on acpi:video0. I'm thinking there's a mismatch in the eDP/LVDS settings, but I'm not sure what to try. Has anyone gotten their Intel graphics working in a flashed IdeaPad Y500 with GeForce GT 650M SLI?
