  1. Upon trying to flash this bios ( not the stock zip for P7XXDM but the other file) i get this error 18 Error secure flash rom verify fail is this because it is the wrong bios? or how to fix?? My laptop is a PC specialist P771DM-G Bios version 1.05.04 TPCS KBC/EC Firmware Revision: 1.05.01 This bios is most up to date for this board + unlocked version??? Edit: I tried looking a bit further and found afuwingui apio 5 different flasher. Got the same error there. Then i checked recovery box and it appeared to do something. It rebooted and when in bios i checked version but only to see its still the same, though there is a new recovery tab now. I went to that tab and it said rom image is not loaded rom image update denied.... So what do i do now do i try capsule? Or is this bios just wrong or need other metho to flash.. honestly scared to try anything else lol
  2. is there a bios that works with my pc specialist P771DM-G laptop? My bios has literally nothing i can adjust lol. And i use base bios. Not even sure i there is an official update for this laptop.

  4. The values of the slider changes each time after a while of having the software open! For example I am using +156.3MV and +168.8MV with the next step being 181.3MV . then after a while I see in the software +175.0MV and alll the previous and next steps are also different numbers then. I won't be able to change to 156.3MV and 168.6MV.... then suddenly after some time I notice it changed again... and i can choose 156.3 and other values again.. but not 175.0MV Anyone know what this behaviour of nvidia inspector is? I really need to be able to use all those steps in the GUI of the software. not just the other ones but 175.0MV too.
  5. When at 1038 mhz and at 1126 mhz what are the core voltages values shown/measured for a stock 980m when 3d application is open for full load? I need to know this because i have a semi broken/working 980m with a bios mod that i got stable 658.5 mhz. But i need to find out what the original working voltageas are to get an idea of what is normal and expected to to further test stability for reaching core value in the normal stock values. This happend with nvidia inspector 1.9.8.1 and latest 1.9.8.7
  6. Yes temps are in normal order, replaced thermal paste and checked everything with a friend. full load is 75-78 degrees. Anyway my problem is sort of solved by Klem he pmed me a bios mod. Flashing seemed to go okay, though when installing nvidia drivers (latest one) screen went black and stayed black, upon reboot also black. I didn't know what to do, so i booted my windows 7 install which had a 417.35 nvidia driver already installed. And it seemed to straight boot! I booted back into windows 10 safe mode uninstall latest drivers and installed every single driver up to the latest release thinking it might be a driver version related issue. And it seems it is, ONLY the 2 latest drivers go black screen and stay blackscreen and EVERYTHING before that installs normally. 512.15 is the latest driver i could managed to actually install without blackscreen... 512.59 and 512.77 are BAD for me with this bios??!! Im perplexed why this could be. Any suggestions would be more then welcome. Now the bios mod Klem made me P0 state clock at 658 mhz since that was around my 666 gpu which seemed stable to me. This bios mod allowed however the 600 ish gpu with full 2505 memory instead of 1600! Also nvidia inspector could edit the values more flexibly by having more option to change the values. The story gets more interesting. I tried 978 mhz gpu @ 0.975/0.981 V +112.5 mv and I got it stable for as far as I could tell Then 1038 mhz @ 1.043 +175 mV seemed also stable. Now I am trying with 1126 mhz (original boost gpu clock) @1.056 - 10.81V which is like +190 to 218.8 mv I am still having some crashes, one time i managed to game 7 hours before it happend other time it happend in an hour or so. So not sure if i should increase voltage or just call it a day and use the lower clocks. I am not sure temperature plays a role in this. im hitting 77 degrees when I try 1126 mhz, lower 978/1038 clocks are more around 74-75 degrees. This is just the final piece to make the pie complete again. But im already happy with 978 /1038 or even 666 for that matter, seeing where the laptop came from! hardly being able to game 10 minutes. When I used to crash I always got the msg "nvidia display driver stopped responding" and I still get that when i clock it wrongly. but I noticed that with the 1126 clocks/voltages i was playing around with, the crashes are just black screens, i lose display and no error message AT ALL in my windows log book. Curious. Now to my question for this topic. I asked Klem what he did with my bios to make this work so much more stable all around. i notice the default gpu clock was changed and I could edit more options. But that can't be all why it is running so much smoother, when anything above 666 mhz gpu just straight out wouldnt work for long no matter what voltage I set. Maybe someone can fill in, what he might have done the bios? Because I also see talk about a "supposed Prema" bios being more stable?! and allowing more options, but im not sure what this entails, did he do something similiar as to what some people classify as Prema bios maybe..? and if so what is actually done in these Prema or Klem bios mods generally anyway?
  7. My problem is my GPU/display/laptop keeps crashing/freezing. nvidia display driver lost. frozen screen. black screen and what not. I found out this seem to happen above 666 mhz gpu speeds. Thermals are fine etc. I am trying to switch to P1 state. So far I only have found ways to go to the other P levels but not P1.... Since P1, has different voltage with different ceiling for clocks And P0 only goes -135 mhz GPU on the nvidia inspector software... (my videocard crashes anything above 666 mhz gpu). This is why I need P1 powerstate. So I can push ram further then P5 power state (which is limited to 1600 mhz) With Nvidia inspector I have tried the "-forcepstate:0,1 " command after the nvidia inspector.exe but after I run it nothing seem to happen. nvidia inspector doesnt open And if I open it without the command after, it still says it is on P0 I use Nvidia PowerMizer to switch to the other P-states but there does not seem an option for P1. P1 state namely would allow me to create a 666 gpu - 2505 mhz memory profile that is always on. Can anyone help me on this? If I could force P1 state instead of P5. It would allow me to set my memory from 1600 to the default 2505 mhz memory and regain some performance.
  8. Cyberpunk is the one we have been waiting for!!! only couple months to go boys! Hope it won't dissapoint. Just finished control, splendid game, every game should have it's physics.

    Witcher 3

I am doubting to play this game on Switch handheld or with the new raytracing on my RTX 3080. Choices, choices what should I do?
  10. So some people claim that 1080p and 1440p have some cpu bottlenecking for the 3080/3090. My question is however, does this still count when you are using DLSS, which has the internal resolution for 1080p/1440p but upscaled to 4k? Since people say at 4k you have no issues with cpu bottnecking. I am curious to know if this counts for DLSS 4k too. (performance/balanced/quality mode)
  11. Is anyone experienced with editing video bios? I need to underclock my 980m since I am experiencing some hardware problem which I am not able solve. Underclocking is my last go to. I can underclock my voltages a bit with nvidia inspector which seems to help a bit. But no software allows me to undervolt. Can anyone help me? I extracted my bios with maxwell II bios tweaker. But I have no idea what I should change to achieve my desired result.
  12. Trying to download Nvidia GTX 980m - 'OC edition' rev0.zip But it says I can't download it...
