  1. Thank you for the link, but I used the second way of formatting the strings. Shouldn't that work for Windows 10?
  2. Yes, I put Windows in permanent "no driver signature" mode and actually got the driver to install in Win10 safe mode. But I can't run it in real mode. I am out of Windows 10 now. In Windows 7, I don't get the BSOD like I got in Windows 10 and I can do work in on the computer (with only one monitor) but the system isn't recognizing my gpu. Device manager says there is a problem. I don't understand your point about the formatting of strings being different. I formatted the strings the same way in both OS's. Can you direct me to a link that explains this? In Windows 10, I can only install the drivers in safe mode. In Windows 7, I can easily install the drivers, but my gpu isn't recognized.
  3. Hello everyone. I registered for this site just to address this problem. Someone told me you guys were the best at these kind of issues. I want to upgrade my HP Z1 workstation from it's paltry K3000m to a GTX980m. I have read posts that indicate that this can be done. So, I bought a new one from a vender here in China. After modifying the .inf file, the drivers loaded (cool!) but I had to downgrade to Windows 7 to do it successfully. Windows10 was unresponsive. My problem is that even after loading my drivers, Windows still finds a problem. I know this can be done because others have used Nvidia GTX gpu's in their Z1. I flashed the bios in my computer, used an older driver and tried everything I can think of. Is there a way to flash the bios in the gpu to make it compatible? Thanks guys for any advice you can give.
