disable integrated idt audio through bios or disable while in safe mode worked with 770m pending os cause just did it couple month ago been testing other card also so give it a try unless you got it already!!!

Ah!!!! crud!!! Windows 10 duh edit 1 for you just to make sure Windows 10 driver inf version 381.78 if you have clevo extract and drop it in the display folder sorry about that nvcvi.zip

If you looked in device manager at your display adapters properties to make sure you have correct numbers (just checking) I believe you use nvcvi.inf for clevo and if that is the case! Open nvcvi.inf in the display folder scroll down to this [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.6.1] win 7 [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.6.2] win 8 [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.6.3] win 8.1 find the 1c60 row then copy and paste this under your OS or you could do all OS %NVIDIA_DEV.1C60.7102.1558% = Section119, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C60&SUBSYS_71021558 then head down to the [Strings] at the bottom copy n paste this NVIDIA_DEV.1C60.7102.1558 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060" make sure latest nvidia driver downloaded fresh and ready to mod!!! I hope I got that right good luck!!!

first did you properly mod the driver?? I believe disable driver signing enforcement I believe frame rate cap tweak which stops that problem! and you might need bios & possible vbios update @prema @svl7 @klem

if you had extra gpu also could you try a different usb port not just the esata/usb port also holding windows key and b key while plugging it in with no battery? try it both ways http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/bios-recovery-in-case-you-brick-your-m17x-r3.601701/

One would need to know your entire set up OS, cpu, gpu, ram, what bios you started out with? was it the A12? are you flashing with gpu card installed or removed? have you tried different usb sticks with that same bios file? are you starting it with gpu card installed? have you tried external ports hdmi, display port?

Are you sure you had correct file? I would try first to reset bios, unplug. take battery, out if you can unplug cmos battery do it hold power button for 30 seconds. hope that helps

how about gtx 970m sli'ed in a alienware M17x r2 with RGB 1920x1200 screen???

Ah!! the last of the m17x r2 It's still alive I haven't broken it yet have the 970m in it tested sli, rgb screen no workie, has anybody tried a 1060m in this thing cause I was thinking about testing it? Also on the look out for another 970m for sli I got a bum one off ebay sent it back, but hey sli worked in windows 7 I was working on windows 10 kinda but need a good card.
