How does the fan speed compare before/after? Is there a noticeable different in fan speed? does it run quieter?

I had an R3 for 5years and I still regret selling it to a good friend of mine. I'd most likely buy it back when he's done with it. It won't play any new games but at least it'll give me non-stop nostalgia vibes when playing SC/SC2

Surely there must be, I'm here with an M18x R1. Needs a few things checked out but should keep me busy during the colder months.

This is still relevant today. Can get a m14/m17/m18x for not much cash these days and with a few spare parts have an enjoyable experience.

@MR20807 Sandwiching between the GPU/CPU and the heatsink: you have to make sure the heatsink can sit properly. Thinner the copper shim the better. You can also install right on top of the heatsink, that should also help with the temps. I've tried this on a 3740qm HP 2570p.
