still a tough one for me, the r3 more then suit my needs, but crappy build is really bothering me. i guess i will wait for your review before making final decision.

hopefully its soon, still trying to decide between keeping the r3 or the M18x just cause of build quality.

yeah i mainly use it as a docking station, i have everything connected to the cooler and only 1 usb from the cooler is connected to my laptop. painting the rubber pieces sounds like a cool idea, let me know how it goes, maybe try it out too.

The vinyls were from my work but you can prolly get them at a local sign shop. I used a 3m control tact for the main wrap, the black was just a generic vinyl.

yeah i didn't see anything noticeable. so far a few people are reporting the same thing. for some reason running higher clocks makes the score lower. GPU-Z Sensor Log.txt

Unchecked everything and slide everything to the left. That should help a little.

logs don't show any signs of throttling, oh well gonna wait till dane get his new rig so we can compare scores.

throttling didn't come to mind, guess i have to check for it now. you could be right i just ran one with a higher oc and got a lower score then before. dam it, gonna run some logs and see whats up.

well i ran 880/1100 with a 2720 and got only 20292 3d marks. while someone else got 20577 with 2820 running only 750/1100. i know 06 is more cpu dependent but my gpu oc should more then make up the difference.

hey brian do you have an 06 runs that i can use for comparisons. something seems off with my runs.

yeah that was a retarded move on dell part. that was one of the best parts of the older models. dam them to hell.

yeah i removed it with no issues, but not sure how different materials will respond to the soft touch paint. i used a wrapping film with medium tack adhesive.

Thanks guys, don't know why alienware doesn't gave us more color options, I know for sure white would be a good seller. Silver was a great color too, don't know why they decided to drop it.

yeah its the original plate with a sticker slap on it. looks ok but the the lettering didn't look as clean as i wanted.

actually i like this vinyl wrap, atleast when i get bored of it i can just peel it off and do something new. already thinking of redoing it, thinking of yellow or carbon fiber still haven't decided yet.

neon green would be awesome too. that yellow looks sweet, reminds me of my M15x. love that beast.
