  1. Sorry, but my notebook it's not an HP and i haven't problems of heat or throttle. I have tried to open my vbios with kepler bios tweaker and search for the thermal throttle temperature, but there are no options. I can't help you.
  2. Hi all. I'm trying to mod the vBIOS of my 740m. First of all, how can i enable the cursors in nvidiainspector o msiafterburner? I have another question: if i open my vbios with Kepler Bios Tweaker, i notice that the power table was empty. Is there a way to unlock the power proprieties of my vBIOS? Here the vBIOS: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5ZlfIs-3hfgV2MtcWx4TF9NSjA @Klem Can you help me?
  3. After week of work, i finally unlock my bios and update ME region to the last one for my mb. I'm searching for option to disable every kind of throttle or power managment, but for now i haven't had success in eliminating this problem. Can someone guide me in which option to check in bios or also in the OS? Please help me. Edit: I forget to say that i try with an AMD 7870 and the problem it's exactly the same. Hope someone help me.
  4. Hi all. After bios modding and several attempts to unlock BCLK overclock following this guide on my HM76 chipset, i found this document: http://www.corus.pro/pilotes/VAD/VAD517/XP/ME/1.5MB FW Bring Up Guide 8.1.0.1248 PV.pdf It's the same can be found in the archive in the first post of the topic, but about intel series 7 chipsets. In the last 2 pages, there is the answer: HM76, HM75 and HM70 chipset are not able to BCLK overclock. Hope this help.
  5. Hi all, i'm new in this forum. I followed the egpu discussion and now i tried to make my setup. I managed without problems to make my laptop start with my external graphic card (GTX 760 Ti (OEM)), attached to the m-pcie port of the wireless card through the EXP GDC Beast v8.4 adapter and powered powered by an ATX power supply Cooler Master RS-600-ACAB-M2 (600W, 408W on the two 12V+ lines) connected directly to the card with a 6pin direct from the power supply and a molex to 6pin adapter. I installed the drivers and disabled the dedicated internal GPU(gt 740M) in device manager. I use an external 60 Hz FHD monitor connected to the gpu through HDMI cable. All works fine and applications use the egpu. I usually monitor the components activity with HWInfo that detect the GTX 760 Ti (OEM) is working. Here the problems start: first of all i notice a strong stutter in frames, even when frames are 80/90 per second. I decide to get rid of this enabling the vsync. The result is good and i stop to digging more to solve the problem. Is this an effect to use and egpu setup? Anyway, this is not the principal problem: when i start to play i can notice a gradual degradation of the performance, that means loss in terms of FPS (measured with rivetuner statistic server). This is an effect that is very evident and it repeats in every game i try. I start to play in very consistent 60 FPS(capped by vsync) and end with 30/40 FPS in the same conditions after few minutes. I can exclude processor or GPU throttling, CPU never go up to 60 °C and GPU never up to 60 °C. CPU and GPU utilizzation are never over 80%. BUS and TDP never over 50%. Maximum performarce is set in Nvidia Control Panel. I tried to change driver version, re-enable dGPU(device manager), disabable iGPU and dGPU(always through device manager), play only using external monitor (not "extend this displays" but "show only on 2"). Nothing seems to solve the problem. So, what i must do to solve this problem? Is there something i missed in the configuration? Here a summon of all my setup: Asus A56CB-XX175H -HM76 -i7 3537U -Intel HD 4000 (integrated card) -nVidia GT 740M (dedicated card) -8gb RAM DDR3 (4+4) Dual Channel 800MHz CL11 eGPU setup -EXP GDC Beast v8.4 mPCIe version -nVidia GTX 760 Ti (OEM) 2 Gb GDDR5 -COOLERMASTER RS-600-ACAB-M2 -Monitor HP 24o FHD 60Hz Tell me for other info. Any helps will be apprecciated.
