Hey guys! I had this eGPU setup working for a while with my Lenovo W520 using a 1050Ti and a Corsair PSU. Finally decided to buy a desktop computer, so I don't need the eGPU anymore. The Pe4C works Flawlessly, comes in the original box with everything it came with, Bought on Amazon in January 2017, used for 5 months on and off. It was working well, stable, even with a 1050Ti that can be finicky. 90$ US including shipping. Will ship to North America. Thanks!

So I have been sucessful in getting my eGPU to work on my Lenovo W520. After fixing Error 12 through DSDT Override and overcoming Error 43 with driver 375.70, I finally got it to work. I ran some benchmark and was wondering if I am getting the performance I should be getting with the card. Can anyone tell me if those results are on par with what should be expected of that card on that kind of setup? The rig: Lenovo W520 i7 2760QM 16GB RAM mPCIe SSD EVGA GTX 1050Ti SC Gaming 4GB Any tips on how to get better performance? Thanks for the help!

Just to make sure I understand the state of things as they are today. I just received my GTX 1050Ti and PE4C 3.0 ExpressCard. Do I stand a chance of getting it working on ExpressCard using driver 375.76 or 375.63? Right now, I have 376.33 installed, the card is detected with error 12. I will not go and try to fiddle with DSDT override if it is to then be stuck with a card that cannot work. HWInfo says that specific Bus is Hotplug compatible. So any chance to get this thing going after I resolve the Error 12? Thanks.

Hi all, After years of contemplating the idea, I have finally decided to try a DIY eGPU on my 5 years old Lenovo W520. So I just received my ExpressCard PE4C v3.0 and Corsair CX430. The GPU in the mail is a EVGA GTX 1050Ti SC Gaming. From the research I've made, it seems I should have a relatively painless and easy experience making it work with this particular laptop. There are a couple of clarifications that I would need before starting if someone knowledgeable could help me. - Do I need only the 24 pin ATX plug from the PSU into the PE4C? - I understand the eGPU can run the laptop screen if I set the BIOS to Integrated graphics and Optimus OS Detection to enabled. Is that right? - Is it possible to use both the dGPU (nVidia Quadro 1000M) and the eGPU? I would like to use both for Davinci Resolve work where the dGPU would drive the interface and the eGPU would be used only for calculations. Is that a possible setup?
