  1. Hi all, Following @benjaminlsr's setup, I'd like to ask if this minimal setup will work the same. This Dell DA-2 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252615465027 Connected to this PCIe 8-pin female to 2x6-pin male http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/122242655992 Where one 6-pin will go straight to GTX1060 and the other goes to Akitio Thunder 3 Box through this 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel plug https://www.amazon.com/Connector-Conwork-10-Pack-Camera-Extension/dp/B01G6EAMEC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483565797&sr=8-1&keywords=5.5x2.5mm+barrel+plug+with+screw+terminal I try to avoid any soldering with this configuration. Having the 6-pin power goes straight to the card leaves me to keep the Akitio case opened. It also gives more air into the box so that I don't have to cut a hole for the fan, as i don't have the tool either. I am not familiar with Dell DA-2 as there are many versions of it, such as this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/322238468834. What am I supposed to looking at here? Also I am not sure if the PCIe cable quality matters to transport the power. I mean if they are cheap one are they going to burn out due to high power or something? Any suggestion is welcomed, especially to ease my setup. Thank you.
  2. @benjaminlsr Great work! I wish I can just buy your Thunder 3 box. I'd like to do the modification but I don't have enough knowledge with the cabling and tools.
