Here's an update. So far so good with the new Dell 680m vbios. No throttling. My 8000k GPU runs in the low 70's @svl7 Sorry for the late donation, I have been busy studying for my finals. Don't get too drunk now

Wow. This is amazing. I am so happy that I can almost break the 8k barrier with the Dell 680m. I couldn't even come close to break the 7k barrier before. Thank you so much slv7!!! I will buy you a beer when I get back from the gym EDIT: Your link to donate does not work.

I want to confirm that the brick fix works to downgrade my m17x R4 BIOS back to A05. I have a question. So even with an unlocked bios, the 3610QM is not overclockable?

Sigh.. I honestly should of just gotten an m17x R4 w/ 660m (Dell wanted $500 for the 680m). Then wait 2 months and buy a 4GB 680m for $600. Then I wouldn't have to deal with this. I don't have BF3 yet. I'll get it soon. I changed my vbios to the OC OV edition. So now I am using 889/1800 (default with the modded vbios). Funny thing is.. I got my best 3Dmark11 score with the stock bios with +42 increase. I throttle with the default settings for the OC OV edition.

Oh I wasn't trying to attacking you in anyway. I am really thankful for you spending your time to help us 680m users out. I just tried out Crysis on Ultra 1008/1900 . I was average about 60fps. Then couple mins in the game. BAM Throttling came in. Then I started to average 40fps

I have an Alienware M17X R4 with a 2GB NVIDIA 680M. I flash my vbios to the OCEditionNew. I want to report that there is still throttling in graphics test 1 of 3DMark 11.
