Ok! AWSOME! I managed to get windows 8 running and my th05 to, well I guess it works since I can use an external display with the gfx card that sits in the th05. I haven't bought a better gfx card yet so no benchmarks can be run. The problem with the "IRQL_Less_or_equal" was in fact the built in webcam, I unplugged it and it booted like a charm, dunno why but I am going to test it again now that the drivers are installed. So I guess maybe that should be added to the guide as well. Will get back to you when I have managed to get a better gfx to try with.

Its very strange, I keep getting this all the time even when i try to boot windows 8 installation thru the USB. I got it to boot into windows 8 once, but then it installed the drivers for the intel 3000 so it got a black screen then after that i removed the file again but it keeps saying "IRQL_Less_or_equal"

I've done as the guide says but I'm getting "IRQL_Less_or_equal" when trying to boot, I've a MBP 15" Late 2011 Core i7 2,4ghz, 8gb ram. - Update! I have managed to get win 8 to work it was my Built in webcam that was causing the IRQ problems, i disconnected it from the motherboard and it all ran fine!

I followed Teknotronix guide to install win8 but it wont boot, it says "IRQ_Less_or_equal" any ideas?

I tried tonight to install win8 from a usb stick to a completely wiped harddrive. The installation goes well until it says "Windows 8 could not update boot configuration" This is when the last steps are perfomed, any ideas? (I'm downloading a fresh copy from msdn network right now to see if it could be an old iso i am using) //P ::Edit:: No luck with the new iso either :/

So we are getting closer to get optimus to work on mbp 15"? I've a MBP 15" late 2011 with dGPU Radeon 6770 and iGPU Intel 3000, would your solution work for this one to? I'm going to try to install win 8 efi mode tonight.... //BR Patrik

Yeah I saw that, the only thing is that if i can't use the Intel driver then i can't use optimus which i really would like to. So I guess i am stuck then? The biggest problem is that there isn't a good guide how to use egpu setup, as I asked before do i need to compile my own pci file? //BR

How did you do to put it on a usb flash drive? I''ve a macbook pro late 2011 15". I would be truly greatfull if somebody could write me a guide or something how to use egpu setup, because when I try things in it right now it says "PCI bad command or filename" //BR Patrik //BR
