Nicely done getting internal display working! I'm guessing you used rEFInd in some way? It may be worth he hassle of reinstalling windows (I think that's required?). I only did DSDT, which got rid of error 12 and allowed external display to work.

I haven't been posting over there but found your post (assuming you're rominator). The 15" MBP doesn't appear to have the same arrangement for the camera. I can disable the camera, but it doesn't give me the option to disable any of the USB type items above it in the hierarchy. I tried disabling camera directly, then the 980ti, but upon reboot, the issue is still there. I've been testing my core with 3 different MBPs 13" no TB - worked fine with gtx670 but gave error 12 with 980ti 13" TB - worked fine with 980ti (basically just installed drivers), don't know why it worked differently than the non-TB 15" TB - gives error 12 on 980ti, haven't tried 670 Now I'm trying to figure out error 12, which looks like i need setup 2.0 but i can't figure out how to purchase it... Feeling extra dumb today

I have a maxed 13" w/TB, razer core, 980ti: BF1 @ 2880x1800, ultra settings, 54fps average (internal screen, no external connected) @ 1920x1200, 87fps I think CPU won't be your bottleneck for just about anything these days. I also have a 15" w/ 460 that i'm trying to get to work the same way. Need to try the various error 12 resolutions but DSDT fix or refit startup script seem fairly involved, and I consider myself reasonably savvy... will see how it goes. Disabled, which prompted a restart. Upon restart and a re-enable, sound works. Thanks!

Thought I'd give an update on my findings... My original testing was with non-touchbar base MBP13, a razer core, and gt670 and 980ti. My interest is only with gaming in bootcamp at this point, so all that follows is in windows. I had success with the gtx670 by installing all the standard stuff (win updates, synapse, razer gpu switcher) before connecting the core. Then shutdown, connect core (which had external monitor), install nvidia drivers. I could only get acceleration by launching on external monitor and dragging to internal display. I could never get this to work without the extgernal display being connected. Doing the same install process with my 980ti resulted in the error 12, which it seems may have had a fix based on recent posts. Since then, I ended up returning that base MBP13 and getting a maxed MBP13 with touchbar. I followed the same approach as described above and and had no error 12 but I also am now able to use the internal display only. I don't know why it's behaving differently but this is working consistently through internal display, which is what I needed. I do have an "Unknown USB Device (Device descriptor request failed) item in device manager with "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" but I don't know what this is. USB ports on the core work fine but haven't tested ethernet. Only downside is that I can't get audio through my internal speakers or headphones when razer core is connected. I have the internal or headphones set as default and the windows sound config is illuminating the sound meter next to the internal speakers but nothing is coming through at all. It also doesn't even detect that headphones have been plugged in. THe only way I can get audio back through internal speakers is to shutdown and disconnect core before restarting, which isn't much of a fix... Any thoughts on the audio issue? Exact steps for my latest install procedure attached in case helpful to others. I initially installed without nvidia HD audio drivers because didn't need audio through external display but I later did a clean install and added them due to the audio issues I had, which didn't help.

I did manage to get this to work. No luck on using eGPU to run anything on internal display only so far. I can start a game on external display and drag in windowed mode to internal display but really not the use case I was intending.

I got my razer core today and am having trouble with my 2016 MBP base 13" and a 980Ti. Could you provide a few more specifics on the sequence of your installs? Did you install synapse, switcher, and nvidia before plugging in the core? Are you using the 364.72 driver version linked to on the razer site or the latest directly from nvidia (375.## i think). Did you shutdown the system before plugging in? Can you provide a link for the thunderbolt software you reference? I haven't seen any notifications for this either. I I installed synapse and switcher, shut down windows, plugged in, started windows. When logged into windows, I immediately got: USB not recognized notification, a device setup installing device window, and a prompt to update synapse. The install window and synapse updates complete and prompt a restart. After the restart, the device manager shows what's in the attached image. The core itself looks to be ok, but the 980Ti an an "Unknown USB device" both have errors. It is curious that the nvidia audio device looks to be ok though. I have no monitor connected to the gpu in the core. Thanks in advance!
