  1. I did a bit of research and found out that my notebook only has a 180Watt PSU. I searched a bit here and saw that a couple of people made their own 240Watt PSU for their P150HM notebooks. I was wondering if there is a guy here who would be willing to make a 240Watt PSU for me as well and sell it to me? I don't have tools to make my own PSU nor do i have the knowledge for it.
  2. So what do you suggest to improve the internal sound? Also the issue I also face here is that I am not entirely sure what to get. I mean my clevo has 2.2watt speakers but I have no idea about how high the resistance is(ohm). Since i've seen speakers with 4ohm and others with 8ohm. I'm not an electrician so I'm not entirely sure if it matters in the long run what i build into it. So I would appreciate some input on that. Also what should I look for when looking for better speakers? I want somewhat decent quality, since my current speakers sound really tinny and are very weak. I am well aware that if I wanted really decent sound quality i'd have to go for an external solution but I want it to be as portable as possible and it just have to sound somewhat decent.
  3. So i was wondering, if it's possible to just switch out the subwoofer and speakers of my clevo P157sm with something more decent?. I'm aware that i'd probably need to mod a bit since other speakers clearly won't fit but if I put in new speakers, would it damage my mainboard or the speakers in any way? If not then I'm considering it, since the sound from some MSI, Dell and Toshiba notebooks are really decent and cost almost nothing on ebay and such.
  4. Let me update. I fixed the issue with fiddling with the VBios and made custom Nvidia drivers. Now the GTX 880m outperforms my GTX 980M in some games, which.... kinda pisses me off...
  5. Alright so i finally almost fixed everything on my P157sm notebook but I'm currently fighting with my sounddrivers. I have no idea why it's behaving like this but it's annoying as hell. For some reasons when i fresh formated my windows my soundblaster lost the ability to use "Built in speakers" All i can select is headphones, stereo, 5.1 and 7.1, all those options sound horribe. I tried different drivers for the soundblaster and realtek driver. RIght now i have no idea how to fix this glitch. I hope someone is able to help here, because it's driving me nuts. The drivers i tried so far: XMG P157sm Clevo p157sm & p157sm-a Sager P157sm & p157sm-a Soundblaster and realtek from all these have been tried out. I even tried to install the newest realtek from the realtek homepage, still no luck
  6. The VBIOS is from this thread and the GTX 880m is from a clevo p150SM-A laptop.
  7. So i was trying to flash my GTX 880m, and when i try to flash it says: WARNING: Firmware image PCI Subsystem ID (1028.05AA) does not match adapter PCI Subsystem ID (1558.5106). Note: Exception caught. Nothing changed! ERROR: PCI subsystem ID mismatch. What should i do?
  8. Driver is not the issue, itried multiple. This issue is aused by the BIOS. A lot of users had this exact problem with the GTX 880m and prema mod v2. Prema stated that the base BIOS he was working on already broke the compatibility, which also has been proven by an other user. http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/p157sm-a-premamod-issues-fps-drops.787166/ This user updated to V2 Prema Bios and started to have low FPS and issues. After that he tried to install stock firmware and the lags still happened. First he blamed the prema mod but he later realized, that it was Clevos new BIOS which the V2 was based on which had this issue built in, hence I need an older BIOS version. I still want prema's BIOS since he offers the ability to get better cooling, which i really need. My fans are almost not spinning on stock BIOS and my GTX 880m gets easily over 95c. With prema BIOS the fans actually spin properly and i get around 84c which is decent for a GTX 880m. So it is 100% not a driver related issue, i tried clean installs, different versions and format of my PC. EDIT: I did some more reearch and finally fixed this issue. I did some research and saw that Prema actually did build his V2 BIOS on the version that did have a proper GTX 880m support. So yeah, my bad. I fixed the issue by installing a different VBIOS on the GTX 880m and now it works flawlessly, scoring 8.800pts without overclock on 3DMARK and I did multiple benchmarks also multiple times and also did play witcher 3 where it usually would start to drop in FPS after 1minute without issues for 20minutes. I want to thank Prema and svl7, you guys are srsly awesome and thank you for the amazing mods that even made this possible for me
  9. So i have massive issues and FPS drops with my GTX 880m, apparently this issue is caused by the Prema Mod V2 i have right now. As it seems the support for the GTX 880m is apparently broken in the V2 BIOS, since the clevo BIOS it's based on broke it. So i am looking for a prema BIOS v1 for my model. Please note, i have P157SM NOT P157SM-A
  10. GTX 980m and 970m was to expensive. Also the temperature is around 83C. So i don't think it's an overheat issue. I'm pretty sure it's driver related, since the CPU usage goes to 100% for no real reason, The GPU before that was m290x
  11. Hey, I upgraded to a GTX 880m and I have a really weird issue going on. I have currently prema mod and I flashed the VBIOS so that the card would run stable. Now here is my issue. For some reason my graphiccard just drasticly drops in FPS. The memory and core clock is stable, but the GPU usage is suddenly 100% all the time and my frames drop dramaticly to 10s. I suspect it has something to do with the drivers, since i had to mod them. Can anyone help me out here? I tried different drivers, downclock etc. nothing helped.
  12. Well apparently the sound is better on the 150SM, also the keyboard RGB is much more accurate, not to mention it suppots newer graphicscard etc. Also both screens are both the same phillips.... Well, guess its time to switch cases
  13. Ok I am aware, that this might sound insanely stupid, but I like the case of the P157SM infinetly better than the 150SM-A, but the 150SM-A has better hardware. So i thought if i could swap out the mainboard and everything else with those 2 laptops? When i look at the outputs of USB, HDMI etc. It's the EXACT SAME THING. Everything is the same, the outputs, cooling unit and so on. Now my question is, will the P150SM-A mainboard support the screen of my P157SM? I really don't want to take evrything apart only to see that the screen doesn't fit.
