  1. Hi Guys, First post here but i've been lurking through the forums for a while. I've found a lot of awesome information and a lot of answers to my questions but i've also ran into a couple of others. Firstly i'm running a 13" mid 2012 MBA with the i7 2.0GHZ (TB to 3.2) processor with 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 of ram. I'm pretty sure it has Thunderbolt 1 but i'm not 100% sure. In saying that from the apple website(https://support.apple.com/kb/sp670?locale=en_US) it says up to 10GBPS so i don't know if that narrows that down at all. Essentially I want to be able to run some games through Windows on the mac but still be able to use everything else on macOS for uni and work. From some of the minimum specs of the games i'm looking to play it looks like an nVidia GTX660 should be ok as an absolute minimum and i would most probably run that through the Akitio Thunder2 as it seems the most stable and the cheapest. OK here are my questions: 1. Do i HAVE to use an external display and if i do can i use my built in keyboard? 2. Would there be any other cards apart from the GTX660 that might be more reliable / cheaper / better for a similar price? 3. Am I even going to see a significant improvement / is it even possible to work with a setup like this for a macbook air that is of this age? Thanks guys, please let me know if you need any more info or just any advice in general as well. Chris.
