  1. How can I remove the eGPU installation? Update: I found it: I have to run the script with the option: -deinstall Update 2: Uninstall is not working. I get the message "Backup folder not found for OS X build [16F73]. Your system must be reconfigured. Click OK to execute automate-eGPU."
  2. Yes, okay. I will do so. :-) But this is definitely a communication failure of Nvidia! ;-)
  3. I talked to Nvidia’s support already. ;-) They wrote: But they did provide drivers until 10.12.1. Now they don’t. So, that means, they stopped providing drivers for the Mac.
  4. You can stop buying Nvidia GPU’s, because Nvidia has stopped providing web drivers for eGPU’s for Mac’s. :-(
  5. After the update from today macOS Sierra 10.12.2 (16C67) the script does not find a driver again. (This is Nvidia’s fault.) So I installed the driver like in the previous post, but after this my Mac was not able to run with it. The screen was grey (without colors) and was not working correctly. Now I deinstalled the driver and can not use the eGPU for rendering. :-(
  6. This was working for me (with a GTX 980Ti): sudo ./automate-eGPU.sh -url http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/Quadro_Certified/367.15.10.15f03/WebDriver-367.15.10.15f03.pkg Thank You!!! :-)
  7. Is the URL something like this? http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/Quadro_Certified/367.15.10.15f03/WebDriver-367.15.10.15f03.pkg
  8. Can You give me an example please? And thank You for Your explanations.
  9. Please, can You give me a link where I can validate this? If You write an installer, you do not need Apples permission to do this, except you will provide it via Mac App Store. @w4vz: Final Cut is using OpenCL I think and not CUDA.
  10. This is not completely correct. If you are using the eGPU for 3D rendering only, you do not need a external display. ;-)
  11. I asked Nvidia to make an installer for eGPUs. And they answered: „We will definitely take this as a feedback and pass it on to the concerned team.“
  12. I've heard goalque is not longer writing on this forum. But I do not know why.
  13. No. I installed a security update in El Capitan and it destroyed my fusion drive. A repairing was not possible. The hard drive toolkit was crashing always. So I formatted both drives as separate drives. After this I installed a brand new OS and brought back my data with the migration tool.
  14. And now I can not work?!? Hmm … this is not good! :-( Is it possible to go back to an earlier version of macOS?
  15. Is it possible, that the script is broken? I got this: *** automate-eGPU.sh v0.9.9 - (c) 2016 by Goalque *** ------------------------------------------------------- Detected eGPU GM200 [GeForce GTX 980 Ti] Current OS X 10.12.1 16B2659 Previous OS X [not found] Latest installed Nvidia web driver [not found] No Nvidia web driver detected. Checking IOPCITunnelCompatible keys... Missing IOPCITunnelCompatible keys. Mac board-id found. Searching for matching driver... No web driver yet available for build [16B2659].
  16. My Akitio Box with a GTX 980Ti inside draws 220 W from the grid¹. So a 300 W power supply should be enough. ______ ¹ Geforce says 250W: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-980-ti/specifications
  17. No, I work only for my self. ;-) Take a look here: www.uhlhorn-agentur.de And I do respect the work of @goalque, but I do not respect his envy.
  18. How is it possible to make more damage to the community than stopping the script for use and developing?!? We have already reached the maximum of damage. More is not possible. So we have nothing to loose. ;-)
  19. @goalque I can understand Your viewpoint in general. But what I do not understand is Your personal war with Bizon. If You are not able to stop them to provide Your script without the remark, that the script is Your script, than You are not able to enforce Your new license too. If You stop developing the script, You will not harm Bizon. They are ignoring it. You will only harm all other honest users. You don’t like it, that Bizon takes Your word: the script is free for all. You don’t like the business model of Bizon, buying cheap, selling with a big profit. But Apple is okay?!? They are doing the same. For 99.99 percent of Your honest users You are a hero, because You made this script for free. But these users are running in problems now, because You have a personal war with Bizon. And Bizon is ignoring it. They will continue to provide Your script, and they are adapting it to Sierra. Only Your other users get a damage. You are punishing all users except Bizon – for a fault of Bizon.
  20. Hm … okay, but than I can not understand his reasons to act. First he was a hero for me, because he helped us with the script. But now it looks more like a egoism for me. Okay, I will stop asking. :-)
