I can confirm that the fix worked on the modified BIOS. -

I've already flashed the modded BIOS. Can I follow those instructions and retain the mods? In other words, does the fix you pointed to here fix only the backlight issue and nothing else? -

I can also confirm that the keyboard backlight isn't functioning after flashing the updated vBIOS. -

I'm seeing clocks hit 1164Mhz with my 3DMark runs... -

Including the boost, yes. A few sample lines from a 3DMark 11 run. -

I want to thank svl7 for this modded vBIOS. I'm successfully gaming at ~1160Mhz core / 1450Mhz mem. Great stuff! It's put new life into this laptop. It's been years since I've done any real benchmarking, but here's a 3DMark 11 Performance run: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/5146996 -
Do you do any gaming at all? I also own a G75VW-BBK5 (anxiously awaiting the download!), and I'm ready to push the core past 1GHz. I'm wondering if you have any anecdotes about gaming performance after flashing and overclocking.

Hi - I've read through much of this thread, but I'm having trouble determining which vBIOS bobby7 flashed to his G75VW. I have the same laptop (G75VW-bbk5), and I'd like to flash the modified BIOS. When I look in the second post, though, I'm not seeing a BIOS with a version of 80.07.2c.00.15, which is what's displaying in bobby7's screenshots. Can you point me in the right direction? (I did pay for a temporary membership for access, so I hope that I'll be able to download the files). Thanks to svl7 for his efforts. This is great stuff!
