  1. Hello, I have a question about setting up an E-GPU for my Dell Latitude E6430. Will the following parts be sufficient or will I have to buy other cables/adaptors? 1. Bplus Pe4c PCIe 16x to Expresscard (<-linked): Is this compatitble with the EC slot in the latitude? 2. EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti (<-linked) 3. Dell DA-2 220 W (<- linked) This list seems rather short and thus I am skeptical. Will I just need to download Nividia Drivers or will I have to go the Setup 1.3 route? Thank you for reading so much, I appreciate all the help you guys have given me on this forum. Someday, I hope to be like you guys.
  2. Thank you Khenglish for replying. So I went back into grub and set to what you tried. 0x16f to 0x01 0x170 to 0x1d 0x171 to 0x00 My max GPU speed is still 1250 mhz as shown by GPUz utility. The only thing I have done is edit these UEFI variables. Is there something else that I need to do? The normal max has always been 1250 mhz. Thank you once again for reading.
  3. Sorry to alter the discussion, I would like to refer back to the iGPU overclock enabler issue I had and still have. I have my UEFI variables set as follows: 0x16f to 0x01 0x170 to 0x1f 0x171 to 0x25 I used GPUz to measure the iGPU speed and ran a stress test, but the max speed of 1250mhz has not changed. Is there something obvious that I'm forgetting to do? I also have an additional question about setting up an E-GPU for my latitude. Dell DA-2 220 W (<- linked): Do I even need this? I heard that the 750 Ti can run without a external PSU? This list seems rather short and thus I am skeptical. Additionally, has anyone tried EGPU with this model before (I would like to PM you)? Will I just need to download Nividia Drivers or will I have to go the Setup 1.3 route? Thank you for reading so much, I appreciate all the help you guys have given me. Someday I'll be the guy helping out.
  4. Is it possible to install the NVS5200M, if my latitude did not originally come with it? And where can I purchase this card (I've been searching everywhere for it)? If I overclock it, is it worth the price for performance? Thank you so much for reading. Please pardon my ignorance.
  5. Thank you so much for responding! My apologies I was not clear and I also mis-typed (I've have attached an image). I tried setting 0x16F to 0x1, but it ends up becoming 0x01. Originally when I did setup_var 0x16f, it displayed 0x00. Setup_var 0x170 showed 0x16 and 0x171 showed 0x00. Also I set 0x170 to 0x1f. I believe the main issue is the enabler. Somehow I'm getting an 8bit value for 0x16f when it's only suppose to be 0x0 or 0x1. Here is the image: http://imgur.com/JEHuKAX (Sorry, I couldn't directly upload it to here. There was an error) I also get this error for 1 second before the command line shows up: http://imgur.com/a/fnRAh
  6. I have a humble question about OCing the IGPU (I am very new to this). I booted into grub and used setup_var to alter these variables: Setting: GT OverClocking Support, Variable: 0x16F Option: Disabled, Value: 0x0 Option: Enabled, Value: 0x1 End of Options Numeric: GT OverClocking Frequency, Variable: 0x170 Default: 8 Bit, Value: 0x16 End Numeric: GT OverClocking Voltage , Variable: 0x171 Default: 8 Bit, Value: 0x0 End I noticed, however, when I did "setup_var 0x16F" it returned a message about unexpected size and GUID. The value returned was "0x00" I set this value to 0x01 and later 0x10. I also altered 0x170 and 0x171 to 0x1f and 0x25 respectively. After I rebooted and used GPU-Z I noticed no improvement in my max graphic's frequency. It still remained at a hard limit of 1250Mhz. Is there something that I am doing blatantly wrong? Thank you for your time.
  7. Edit: pardon my ignorance, I found the solution to my problem here www.techinferno.com/index.php?/forums/topic/5481-14-dell-latitude-e6440-owners-lounge/&page=2#comment-98892 I previously had trouble making the grub bootloader USB but I figured it out.
