Are you using the unlocked bios to overclock or nVidia Performance Tools?

I've heard surprisingly good things about the new entry level cards from nVidia - the 640/650 I've got a slightly older 570 myself which has been great for me, and they can probably be picked up for just over 200 these days.

I bought my M1 second hand from a mate who had just upgraded to the M2. According to him the upgrades are incremental at best. The only big difference is that you'll get better graphics performance in Low Power mode since the newer integrated GPU is a significant improvement over the older generations. The only other big winner in the R2 is the mSATA slot for SSD caching, which would be nice you have if your still using spinning disks.

I've been running Win8 on mine since the early pre-release builds. I was surprised at how few problems I've had. MS seem to have nailed a lot of the driver comparability problems that made the XP->Vista move so horrible
