yea, it works perfectly except for the noise during games.

it is external noise not from headset. I think DAC wont help me I think it might be becasue the power consumption of 980m is beyond my power supply circuit or PSU , which I have 180w right now. I will try 230w later and see if it will be solved. ( But I heard there is a power limit in P151em. )

Hey guys, i just updated my P151em with a new 980m. Everything was okay but since couple days ago, everytime I play 3d games , there is always some buzzing sound coming from my laptop. And when I go back to desktop, it will immediately stop. I found that many desktop 900 series cards have this issue but never heard about mobile version having this issue. I am wondering if anyone else has the same issue with me and if this issue will damage my card. Thx!

Eurocom replied me the second day after I emailed them. And I paid 90 USD (100-10: 10 USD discount for student )for this support , which was good for me otherwise I would lose 600 USD on the card. And we take couple hours to email each other , solving my issue. All in all , the experience was good for me and they replied very fast. But my roblem is not solved perfectly since I have to modify drivers every time. He said something was wrong with hardward ID ( messed up with g-sync and non g-sync . something like that. SO NEVER FLASH UNTIL YOU MAKE SURE THE TYPE OF YOUR 980M ) and he cant help me flash back to the right hardware ID only if he took out my chip and flashed it on aother socket, which was obviously impossible. So that's it. Anyway, it works so I think it is okay for me. Thx bro !

Ya. Thx for your help and kind I hope my issue could help others with old models like 151em to solve some updated problems. I think the main key problem might be the v3 bios of motherboard on em models. not sure if prema would release it later on.

How much can prema vbios v2 increase the performance of 980m ? I flashed ZM OC v2 on it and got x4000 on graphic scores. Before that, I only have x3800 on graphic scores. But I didnt see big change. Is this normal ? or maybe I didnt flash the prema vbios correctly ? Another question: How to check if I have flash the prema v2 vbios correctly ? Really appreciate your help so far ! thx! Ya I am using modified driver. Driver signature enforcement doesnt have any effect actually, which will just pop out one window to ask if you want to continue duing setup. then click yes and it wont be any problem. I paid Eurocom to get v3 bios and vbios for my 151em. And it finally works.

You are right. I am using Sandy bridge cpu on my 151em ( actually it is bga - > pga cpu , not official version :P) . Besides, I have a question, if I change to Ivy bridge, will it improve the performance of my gpu ( pci-e 2.0 to 3.0 ?) ? Thx!

p151em is an old model, which can only support pci-e up tp 2.0 I think. My friend has 970m on it , which has the same issue. But the main issue I have right now is I can' t run 3d mark 11 to test its performace.

I tried it but 3dmark 11 still cant work correctly ( saying my adapter only supports D10 ). I think the problem might lie in missing the switch function between two gpus. Therefoer, I still cant play witcher 3. In heroes of storm, 980m is not recognized ( only HD 3000 available ). Only dota2 can be played normally. Besides, I also flashed prema 980m-g 8g ZM v2 vbios on my card. But the problem still unchanged. Others seem good( Aero is back ). Maybe I need the v3 bios to make it work normally ? Another thing to be noted is I found Prema 's vbios cant be read by tweaker, which shows some errors in values. I got it from Prema's blog. Is this normal ?

Btw, do you know if it is possible to pay for support from eurocom (because I heard that prema teamed with them to build v3 bios to make all em models have 980m work correctly under any drivers), even though I didnt get this card from them. Trying to work out on prema vbios v2. Does this mean I cant flash this vbios on my card ?

the aero is back now after I used the driver version before 360. Another thing is I cant flash prema vbios -g ZM on my 980M, It turns out error and closed automatically. How to check my card is bricked or not ?

ya I am using 358.50 version right now. I enable the 980m in the panel but nothing changed.
