  1. Same boat as me, except I have the 770m and a bad mxm slot of my m17x R3. It is time to buy an R4 mobo. We can now upgrade to the 900 series in the future and even perhaps beyond to the 1000 series if they make them in mxm format.
  2. I hear about people using HWinfo for Windows, but what about Mac OS X users? A hardware solution would be best for hackintosh users. Someone please chime in. I have not yet gotten an m290x because of this issue. It would not be wise for me yet without a hardware instead of software solution.
  3. I also want to make sure my download is right. Is there an MD5 or SHA1 checksum we can get for the zip file? Thanks. I used the built in Windows way described here in post 389: http://superuser.com/questions/245775/is-there-a-built-in-checksum-utility-on-windows-7 " CertUtil is a pre-installed Windows utility, that can be used to generate hash checksums: certUtil -hashfile pathToFileToCheck [HashAlgorithm] HashAlgorithm choices: MD2 MD4 MD5 SHA1 SHA256 SHA384 SHA512 So for example, the following generates an MD5 checksum for the file C:\TEMP\MyDataFile.img: CertUtil -hashfile C:\TEMP\MyDataFile.img MD5 Original solution by Laisvis Lingvevicius "
  4. Does this A12 unlocked bios also have the 2920xm/2960xm unlock? I hear these CPUs are locked out of the official bios, but I could be mistaken. It appears to be so from this thread... http://en.community.dell.com/owners-club/alienware/f/3746/t/19591954
