  1. Well from the picture seems to fit, thank you Dschijin.
  2. So just cutting the connector and bend the cables. You think is possible to make a connector little enough that allows me to close my EVGA 960? It's about 8 mm of free space in that point... I'm considering to cut a hole, not aesthetically nice though
  3. Guys do you know some european seller where i could buy low profile 6pin wires to make a Dell DA-2 - Akitio adapter?? I want to make a closed eGPU but i just don't know how to properly bend the power cable coming out from gpu. I found only cables from US, that's quite uncomfortable paying all those shipping fees
  4. Hi there I'm building an egpu with the thunder2, made barrel mod, and EVGA gtx960 is on the way. In the meantime, i was doing some tests with my (very) old Palit Gtx260. Hardware: 2012 Macbook pro 13" (2.9 ghz, intel hd 4000) PSU: LC 600W GPU: Palit gtx260 Akitio Thunder2 Software: OSX 10.11.4 El Capitan Windows 10 Bootcamp The problem: Well, the automate-egpu script recognized the card and installed the Nvidia web driver, but when I try to boot the computer, there is no way to make it working. Powering Akitio and GPU before macbook with TB cable already plugged causes a grey screen with an endless repeating chime. A force shut down is the only alternative. Powering Akitio and GPU before macbook with TB not plugged allows OSX to boot to login screen, but as soon as the cable is being plugged, everything freezes. Force shut down is needed. (Plugging the cable in anytime before desktop appears, causes screen freeze) Same problems occur while holding alt key. The incoming gtx960 will make this booting issues simpler? EDIT: Forgot to mention all tests were made with an external display
  5. Perfect. Just tried, Akitio's led is lighting up correctly. Thank you Dschijn
  6. Hi people, just made this. The molex cable came with my old graphic card, don't know what the brown wires are. I suppose they are just another ground, can you confirm? Two yellows in the positive (+), two blacks in negative (-) And there is an "E" attached to one of the yellows
