  1. do you know if any of the egpu manufacturers are talking about doing that in the future?
  2. What kind of performance can I expect to get from that setup? I keep reading mixed reviews.
  3. Sorry for such a noob question ,but I'm still researching about which eGPU setup I want to go with and this is a new concept for me. My question is, is it possible to connect an eGPU using USB 3.0 to a laptop? My laptop doesn't support USB 3.0, but I did find out that a docking station for my laptop will allow me to, and since my laptop only has a first gen express card slot I think it will be a faster connection to go with USB 3.0. Thanks in advance for any help. By the way my laptop is the Dell E6420 in case that helps.
  4. are you just talking about the enclosure or the GPU adapter as well? Also are there cheaper options out there for an eGPU set up with an enclosure for my PC?
  5. I started looking at this last night and and i'm starting to get a better idea of what i need to do, but have a few questions. #1. Am I right in assuming that my E6420 with Nvidia 4200M Graphics will allow me to do the optimus tweak? And what exactly is envolved in doing the optimus tweak? #2. Will this unit work for me http://www.hwtools.net/Adapter/PE4H%20V3.2.html or is there something better? #3. If this unit is not for me and another is, where would i find an enclosure? As i really dont like the idea of the card being out among the elements. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
