  1. But then your getting into driver support. And if your going that route it wont matter if your running a 990 super gtx ultra mega graphics card, Its going to be game dependant and not so much power dependant.
  2. Zuppo. Your telling me. That if it was possible to run three monitors at the same time, the 680m wouldnt handle it. I have a hard time believing that. Even if I dont flash the vbois. This card runs about the same as a 580 desktop card. Your telling me that a 580 couldnt run 3 monitors? An amd 6970 could and the 580 kicked that cards teeth in.
  3. @svl7, i want to run 3 external monitors as one. I have 3 video outs on the m17 and was hoping to do some surround gaming.
  4. I have an alienware m17 r4 with a dell 680m and just got my third monitor for xmas and was wondering if its possible to run three monitors in surround??
  5. Anyone have any numbers for a single Dell 680m card? I saw someone post a score with the newest vbios using a sli setup but I haven't seen any single card numbers. Just curious how much of a boost it would be in my m17.
  6. So. I've been all over this thread and I just wanted to make sure. The Dell vbios dl on the second post is the newest one and allows for a nice oc and no throttling right? I've been waiting for the Dell vbios to not throttle under oc before I dl it.
  7. Just wondering if there has been any breakthroughs on the dell 2gb 680m modded vbois. I'm dying to flash the vbios and get the same performance as the 4gb 680m from clevo, I just want to do it till the throttling problem is behind us. I can us afterburner or The nVIDIA Inspector to do the typical OC, but come on. We all want the big numbers.
  8. I know this is wishful thinking. But do u think this new bios might have helped with the gtx680m throttling issues? Or is it just purely to lock out bios flashing and Windows 8 certification crap. I'm guessing just the latter. But a boy can dream that one day his dell card can jump up to msi levels.
  9. Yeah. I saw that thread. I know its possible. I am just not sure if its worth it If I can't get the throttling to not happen or if I can't see the same boost as the clevo cards.
  10. Cool. That's kind of what I got out of my searches aswell. Thx so much for your help. I'll just stick with NVIDIA inspector for my OC'ING till I hear anything new about the throttling being fixed.
  11. I've been reading a lot of things that have said that the dell 680m act very nicely after flashing the vbios because of throttling. And I have also read that it doesnt come close to the clevo 680m's performance. Is all this true? And at the moment does it seem like flashing the dell's cards vbios is kind of pointless????
