There is still chance for them to do something. We have only time They will provide GPU upgrades or loose customers. It's their choice to pick "old, current Nissan GTR" or pick up "new one" for our money.

Almost can not see the PCB on reverse... I remember times when GPU PCB's we're almost empty.

P870DM2 should have as twice better cooling for single 1080 than P775DM

Hmm you're right. But anyway nvidia just changed gpu name strategy. 1070 = old 80M 1080 = old 80 desktop 1060 = old 70M

Personally I don't feel "betrayed" coz lack of two 1080's since P870DM "1" had also max 1 desktop GPU. I know it limits but if we would not be able to put single 1080... That would be an outrage. At least for notebook from this top-high-end segment. Single 1080 - should be possible! Dual 1070 and Single 1070 - should be possible! Dual 1080 - would be awesome to see that. But as far as we know our MXM slots are too close each other (1-2cm too much) and we have only 1 power connector.

So, 1000 series will be compatible with current notebooks? I hope that I'll be able to put single 1080 into my P870DM (980M version). Or at least dual 1070's (but i don't like multi-gpu after all).

It's not about complaining but truth and lies. You wouldn't be happy if You would buy Mustang with V8 and later... truth comes out and it's 4 cyl EcoBoost... or in best scenario V6. Sure... allow them to lie all the time. And then You will end like the last loser (sad but true). That was "cheap" marketing ploy, that won't be cheap for nVidia (I hope so).

From my experience: Normal paste, good performance per $: Arctic Cooling MX2 (usually non-OCed desktops/laptops) Performance: Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut > IC Diamond 7 > Gelid GC Extreme (non-OCed laptops and OCed desktops/laptops) Insane Performance: CLU (never used CLP so i can't compare) // I never used it in notebook, I find it too dangerous (desktops with heavy air cooling or LC with extreme OC, or CPU delid) Imo best thermal paste now is Kryonaut. But it's expensive. Very good performance and... easiest to apply... seriously. Never had so much fun doing repaste. I had choice between Kryonaut and Cooler Master MasterGel Maker but I've picked Grizzly... I'll check it next time.

Avoid 364.51 WQHL. Raises temperatures by 8 to 10*c (980M)... So GPU will run quite hot. Few days ago I've installed these and... after few hours I've decided to return to the 362.00. Temps were normal again. My friend had same issue. Not sure about other GPU's.

Gigabyte are awesome mobos, except AMD ones (overclocking issues with never revisions). ASUS GPU's and Motherboards are without doubt high-end. They're products are good. At least high-end ones... I had problems with their version of Radeon 4350 (in VPS). It was about driver compatibility... only stocked worked, but they we're buggy as hell...

Och. Survival should be combined with Horror! That makes perfect combo. Open World 24h time mode No weapons! You should be defenseless, that will push Your brain to think how to survive. Everyone can shoot in panic... Or at least limit it like in Metro Last Light Ranger Mode > Hardcore. Few bullets and use it smart. Good AI. They should be able to stalk and lurking in the shadows. Yes, we should feel them but not see. Skills/professions to keep us with needed resouces. Good sound. It's even more important than graphics. It's all about feelings and emotions. Make us happy or scared. Good lore & story. But without trailer spoilers etc.. Amnesia Dark Descent was awesome at this point. We should discover it while playing, real progress.
