  1. Hello, I'm new on both this forum and eGPU subject. I've read Tech Inferno Fan's thread on this forum: Lenovo L440+Quadro K2000. This is fantastic setup. I've been looking for something like this for some time since I have Lenovo T420. My version have 8GB of RAM and i5-2520 processor with hd 3000 graphics and I'm looking for some way to improve it's performance in professional appplications like Inventor or Ansys. I focused on building eGPU equipped mobile workstation and I've been worrying if it makes any sense to put cards like Quadro or Firepro into this project through EXP GDC v8 adapter and EC socket. I found this thread and I have some doubts. First of all I'm fresh with eGPU and it would be my first setup like this. Do you think it is a good idea to start with cards like this (at first I want to try with cards like firepro v3800 and if it works fine upgrade it later)? Would I be able to build this setup? And the second question is about computer performance with professional cards. Does these cards work fine? I mean aren't they much slowered by EC speed or bus capacity? I'm sorry if there are some essential mistakes in my post - i'm not an IT specialist. Thanks for all
