  1. Afternoon guys! I have the Sager NP8657 (Clevo P650RE3) and i was wondering if you could do an vbios unlock for the 970m Gsync version? Ill just love to be able to change the temperature of when it throttles. Thanks ahead of time! vbios_backup.rom

I just got home and tested it.... You're absolutely right about it downclocking to 540mhz. Thats really weird

Oh yeah sure I can. Usually don't overclock on nondemanding games cause I can run bns at full settings without needing to. I usually just over clock on far cry 4 or assassins creed. But I will do when I get home from school today

Thats really odd since i also have a 970m on 359 drivers and im able to play bns with maxed settings and it doesnt do the downclocking.

Hmm thats odd. If you haven't already, have you gone into the nvidia control panel and force the game profiles to maximum performance?
  8. Since I cant be sure since i dont have any references from the internet, but i think i finally hit the silicone jackpot! Since our i7-6700hq couldn't be overclocked anyways i thought i might as well undervolt it and lower the temps of it. And before i knew it BOOM! -200mV undervolt "Stable" (I'm still in the process of stress testing it). Like i said at the begining im not sure if its an amazing undervolt but i think its pretty good. Before undervolt it was around 82 degrees C on load now its a cool 60 degrees C. A 20 degree decrease! So current its running at around 0.835 V. Oh and the system I'm running is the Sager NP8657 (Clevo P650RE3)
  9. This guide is to help you when you buy a new PC. New PCs that you buy at the store (Sager excluded) will always come with unnecessary bloatware and personally i find these annoying. So this is what i usually do whenever i get a new PC. Firstly, go and get a program called PC Decrapifier. This makes uninstalling all the bloatware all in one go. Sure you'll have to keep on clicking next and ok but its sure heck of a lot easier than going through it all by yourself. Don't restart until the very end when you are finished with uninstalling everything since you do not want to interrupt the process The easiest way i get all my basic programs is from a website called Ninite. It has MANY MANY programs that you would want. The perk of using this way is that it all comes as one installer so you won't have to go to many different sites to get all your programs. So now you got all your programs and uninstalled all your bloat. So what should you do to keep it clean? I recommend you to use CCleaner. Use it once in awhile to keep your PC clean and it also cleans through your registry since uninstalling programs mostly wont remove the registry link for it. CCleaner is also a Start up manager, but on Windows 10 that option is built in into the task manager. I think the same goes with windows 8. Anyways have fun with your new PC!
  10. You know you should REALLY learn how to search the forums before posting questions like this. Lenovo has always been known to blacklist their Wlan adapters. Anyways... here you go. http://forum.techinferno.com/lenovo-ibm/2874-lenovo-y400-y500-unlocked-bios-wlan-whitelist-mod.html
  11. I ALMOST went with a lenovo y-series laptop, but then i found reviews about the screen hinges breaking off so that changed my mind about buying it. So instead i am now planning to buy the Sager NP8657-s If your curious about the hinge thing heres the link: Lenovo Y510 hinge problem - Forums - CNET
