flash bios

try to underclock GPU and check then
-
it's for 100% soldered but ofcourse can be replaced but with hot Air station or something similar why you neeed to replace it ? MSI doesn't start ? then you can disassembly and check what S/N or whatever you need to buy new bios chip
-
because gt550m it's on mainboard then probably vbios stored in mainboard bios ?
-
about heatsinks for 7970m check FS: Brand New MSI Heatsinks gtx570m,560m,580m,5870m,460m,670m,675m,680m about throttling - need unlocked bios and raide tdp/tda values if i good remeber [dont have that laptop but older]
-
bad :/ Can you show you burned 680m card from both side ? What temperatures you get while playing ? You mounted second card on MSI ?
-
Thinking about some more cooling mods for gt 70? advice?
debianik replied to Paul Kadoshnikov's topic in MSI
still have problems with temperature on 680m ? then still don't stick correctly gpu&heatsink - must be some space between than blocking transfer heat to heatsink -
yes of course

~GX660® Owner's Lounge~ - Page 286 check that's only CPU pushed to the limits furmark tested now [only furmark] with little OC 785/1050 temp under 85C - short test almost 160W on the wall then you can combine both and you can easily can get in normal usage 180-200W 150W delta can handle to max 165-175W - then no good for XM
-
msi GT660 with 920xm working in max 25x 4/3cores withou HT and 6990M with litlle OC [mean little but it's max for my card] and of course don't use battery
-
personally use 230W delta with changed power cord from my original 150W
-
compare card 580m to your - probably need but im not sure
-
msi gt70 Really high GPU temps even after repaste with 680m
debianik replied to Paul Kadoshnikov's topic in MSI
You still don't stick both card and heatisinks without any paste/thermopads to know how much you need paste/copper plate or what prevent to stick gpu core to heatsink ? -
before ivy bridge msi doesnt supporty any switchables option to save power- then you can put almost any card [except kepler with some exceptions]

msi gt70 Really high GPU temps even after repaste with 680m
debianik replied to Paul Kadoshnikov's topic in MSI
yes exactly - thermalpads or paste first time see shim /copper plate to gpu core option you do like I said previous to check how heatsinks sticks to gpu core and ram ? -
msi gt70 Really high GPU temps even after repaste with 680m
debianik replied to Paul Kadoshnikov's topic in MSI
@Paul Kadoshnikov remove all paste, thermalpads and stick card and heatsink - check if gpu sticks with heatsinks and also ram should sticks with heatsinks- then you can use paste on ram and ofcourse for gpu core if you don't like paste on ram then use 0.5mm thermalpads on ram -
if you have nvidia card then for sure you need to modify actual heatsink or buy ready to mount FS: Brand New MSI Heatsinks gtx570m,560m,580m,5870m,460m,670m,675m,680m that's for sure if you change for ati card ,for nvidia probably it will works without and modification
-
If you don't use CUDA cores then 7970m should be near 100% faster than 675m=580m Try ebay, nbr market, or market here. You can try to buy clevo with enduro-off bios.
-
looks like you have temp problem even on default clock :/ try to drill holes undder the fan - in that bottom acces panel also usying laptop on flat panel/desk still blocks air forgetting about polishing your heatsink with 3000+ grid Personally use gt660 with 920xm es with max possible multipler 25x but without HT - and with drilled holes I can play in GTA4 on flat desk but much better is to make bigger "room" under the laptop.

yes you can gpu http://forum.techinferno.com/msi/2511-msi-gt683-nvidia-675m-%3D-true.html cpu to i7-28xxqm if you need
