  1. Hi J95, Thanks for providing the details on modifying the .ini file. The problem I'm having is that the screen constantly blinking like a strobe light after the install and rebooting to the desktop. Device ID: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11A0&SUBSYS_05511028&REV_A1 M17xR4 / Win 7 64bit / GTX 680M However, I am trying to install the 310.90 mobile driver from nvidia's website and there is no file that is "nvdmi.ini" in the "Display.Driver" folder. There's just a "nvdm.ini" file. Also, all the codes that I need to change are all there; seems I don't need to change anything. What am I doing wrong / not doing that is causing the screen blinking after driver install?

M17xR4 - Win 7 / 3720QM / 2GB GTX680M Hardware ID: PCI/VEN_10DE&DEV_11A0&SUBSYS_05511028&REV_A1 PCI/VEN_10DE&DEV_11A0&SUBSYS_05511028 PCI/VEN_10DE&DEV_11A0&CC_030000 PCI/VEN_10DE&DEV_11A0&CC_0300 About two years ago, I upgraded from the 660M to the 680M. Install and new driver install went smooth as could be since no bios update was needed. I chose the driver 310.90. Now, I'm trying to upgrade to the newest driver 358.91 and all hell breaks loose. The screen is constantly blinking on/off after installing the driver, no matter how I do the install - all in safe mode. Even after reverting back to 310.90, the screen still blinks after booting to the desktop. Driver install fails when I Fn-F7 to the dedicated card as well. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the procedure for uninstall/reinstall is: - uninstall nvidia driver > reboot - uninstall intel driver > reboot - safe mode > install intel driver > reboot - boot into desktop > Fn-F7 > reboot - safe mode > install nvidia driver > reboot That doesn't work anymore now. I've tried installing the laptopvideo2go 310.90 drivers with the modified nvwi.ini file to no avail. Copy&pasted the .ini file internals as drag&drop did not replace the file. I read from j95's posts that the nvdm.ini needs to be modified instead. - Do I need to replace the original nvdm.ini file with the modified nvwi.ini file? - Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
