  1. You'll at least need a power supply as well, either a desktop PSU or Dell DA-2. You will need to be prepared to make modifications to the plugs and case so be sure that's within your skill set. If it's not there are some pre-made kits for sale if you search the right places. Check out Dschijn's buying guide for a very detailed description of what you will need to consider: http://forum.techinferno.com/apple-egpu-discussion/10061-basic-egpu-hardware-guide-macs.html

    Home Group

Hi, On the first computer, go to control panel, Network and Internet, click Homegroup or type Homegroup in the search box. Then click "change netowrk location" and set up your homegroup sharing. When it asks if you want your PC to be discoverable say "Yes". Then it will ask to create or join, say "Create". Now on the other computers, do the same thing, but at the end choose "Join". Hope that helps
  3. I can highly recommend MX4 and AS5. I think MX4 has slightly better thermal transfer than AS5, and is non conductive. But I've also used AS5 for many builds and never had issues. I'm afraid of the diamond paste being too abrasive but I've never personally used it.
  4. Early 1980's: Apple ][+ 140KB floppy drive 32KB of RAM monochrome monitor It was on this computer I learned programming in logo, basic, pascal. Also connecting to local BBS' using an acoustic coupler modem. It was so slow the text had to catch up to what I would type. 300 baud, I think. Fun times.
  5. Greetings! For gaming/personal, I have a Lenovo y510p SLI version, with 1TB SSD and upgraded to 16GB of RAM. For work (SQL/C++/C#.NET development), I have a Dell Inspiron 15 (2014 model) with 1TB SSHD and 8GB of RAM. My previous laptop was an old Acer Ferrari 3400, my precious, I maxed out the RAM and even had a PATA SSD, it booted linux to KDE login screen in about ~6 seconds which is not bad for a ~10 year old laptop. But it was destroyed in a flood along with my desktop systems & SAS storage array.
  6. Another ASIN for the same card with possibly different prices: Amazon.com: AzureWave Broadcom BCM94352HMB/BCM94352 802.11/ac/867Mbps WLAN + BT4.0 Half Mini PCI-E Card: Computers & Accessories If you don't want to use modded BIOS try to find the card with Lenovo FRU 03T7135. Some people say it works and is in the whitelist (I have not personally tried it).
