Mirror all your thoughts. The clevo does look bland. However, there isnt anything else in the 11 12 inch category that has that much power. The closest I can think of is the Lenovo y480 .(14 inch, gt650 card in Asia) However, the 1.7kg weight of the clevo is not to be dismissed.. The heating issues apparently can be slightly tackled using Prema's bioses.( by undervolting) some users get half an hour to an hour more batt life that way ( only 3.5 hours to begin with, quite miserable. 4.5 hours makes it so much better) The resolution is fine for a 11 inch actually.. (IMO) The m11x suffered from poor contrast ratios. very washed out colours

Anandtech reviews Clevo system with AMD 6970M

Well, the alienware also costs and weighs a great deal more. ( arguably the alienware construction is much tougher though) -
What do you use as cooler on your notebook?
roophz replied to mw86's topic in General Notebook Discussions
Have always stuck to my Zalman I bought 3 years ago. The metal construction is amazingly sturdy and not cheap feeling. (though its heavier than most other coolers made from plastic) However, unless I am gaming, I just simply prop my laptop up with a paperback.. -
Hey Kai chan, you should read through the Clevo owner lounges forums in notebookreview to start. Check out the popular models or reviews there. Clevos are one of the most popular notebooks which you can buy barebone to customise.

Old razor copperhead 1600 dpi for most games.

I would go for Nvidia solely for Optimus. (I know AMD has their own graphic switching thing now, but its apparently far from perfect atm) . Helps a great deal for batt life..

Best Way to Clean Your Gaming Notebook
roophz replied to jonathanslam's topic in General Notebook Discussions
Those clothes they use to clean spectacles actually work pretty well on the screen. Seldom use any solution. But if i must, some soft handwash mixed with water does the trick.. ... Remember to turn off the laptop, remove the batt and hold the power button down for a while before using compressed air into the fans. -
First of all, if u have to get one, IMO get the 650.. My housemate just got the laptop with the gt650m . Its a powerful machine.. runs rather cool too.. HOWEVER, I would like to advise you against it if you need a good screen. ... The screen quality is a bit 'muddy'.. haha.. BUT for the current price. Less than 600 quid for students, its a steal. Not sure whether the BIOSes are moddable though. I will check with him and come back to u
