  1. Now i have updated my Bios from Stock to the last Prema Mod Version and upgraded my system to Windows 10 with a clean install. I thought i had solved the problem since one week, but the problem is still present after a cold deep start (not resuming from hibernation). But if i have the problem that my GPU fan is only running slowly then i can't force the fan with FN+1. If the fan stops then the FN+1 works again. If everything is fine then FN+1 works also with a running fan.
  2. Hello, here is a short update from my fan problem. I get this beeps because of a not starting fan or lower than 500rpm. Here is my new strategy to avoid this beeps: 1. Start a nvidia GPU required application ... wait for GPU temperature > 50°C, Fan shoud jump in, but to slow or not at all. 2. Close nvidia GPU required application (Temp info is going away, but it's normal) and wait a few minutes that the nvidia GPU temperature drop back to < 40°C (Fan stop temperature). 3. Start a nvidia GPU required application again, nvidia GPU temp reach 50°, Fan kick in with normal speed ~2000rpm and will increase if GPU temp is increasing. Shutdown and Reboots solve the same problem only with a possibility of 50%:50% - MRAlien
  3. On my P170EM i can log it with the tool HWInfo (HWiNFO, HWiNFO32 & HWiNFO64 - Hardware Information, Analysis and Monitoring Tools). If you start the sensors and enable all "show" check boxes in the sensor settings, then it's could be you can't see your GPU Informations. The reason is, you can only see the nvidia GPU information like temperature or fan rpm if the nvidia GPU is in use. I have seen in your video you have installed geforce experience, open it and the nvidia gpu is in use. Now you should be able to see the GPU inforamtions in the HWInfo sensors. - MRAlien
  4. @michalsk11: Thanks for your video, it's says to me that a forced start of the fans could not solve my problem. From my point of view your temperatures ~64°C are ok, with and without the forced fans. It's could be that you see the cpu and not the gpu temperature, but i don't know your benchmark. In compare to my problem, i get this sounds if my gpu fan is off, but your fans are running and you get this sounds. I come closer to the assumption that the emergency system checks high gpu temperatures and gpu fan speed. Can you log your fan speed if you force the fans, maybe the system don't get the rpm feedback if you force it. - MRAlien
  5. Hello, I have the same problem with my P170em, beeping and blinking LEDs, because of high GPU temperature (~80°C). But in my case the GPU fan is very often directly not starting (checked it with HWInfo). My system is still running with the Stock Bios17 and EC12. I’m not sure if the Prema Mod could solve my problem, maybe if i force the fans to run with FN+1. Can you check your rpms if you get this emergency alarm. - MRAlien
  6. Hello, i have a ONE K73-2N (according to my BIOS a "P170EMx") with a NVIDIA 675mx and trouble with my GPU fan. Normally if the system is running correctly the GPU fan is starting at 50°C and stopping at 40°C on GPU. My Problem is that the GPU fan is very often not starting if the Nvidia GPU is in use and heating up. (Check it out HWInfo) In such a problem case the fan is not starting and after a few seconds i get a critical system sound with beeping and blinking caps lock leds, because the Nvidia GPU reach 80°C without fan rpm. A program restart or other program start doesn’t solve the problem. The only solution is, turn the notebook completely off and start it new and hope if the fan works now. If this works then the fan is running correctly the whole time. Current BIOS is stock 1.02.17 with KBC/EC 1.02.12 All Drivers are updated with GeForce Experience. I don’t know where the problem is and what i can check. I have read the fan is controlled by the EC, from this point of view i don't know if my OS (WIN8.1@64bit) have influence on it. So i could use the Prema MOD for P170EM (https://biosmods.wordpress.com/p170em/), but i don't know if this solve my problem (maybe with FN+1) or if it's better to flash the stock BIOS again. I have a little bit fear to do it, because of a brick or a not longer booting up system. - MRAlien
