  1. Ha its out, and not worth the wait!!!! and with the ddr4 cost hope that you guys didn't wait for it.
  2. I think going for a six core is overkill, in fact an i5 would just perform the same as i7 and save some bucks. But if you want to be future proof as games get more multi threaded, go for the devil canyon 4790k, or the 6700k either performance practically the same, the 6700k is more expensive on the ddr4 ram. I wouldn't go for a titan X, a sli 980ti will crush the titan. Anything besides a sli 980gtx ti is just overkill. To get an idea here's reference of benchmark . I haven't seen much benchmarks done in depthTitan X vs sli 980gtx ti, but I read this short review on toptengamer review. The sli 980gtx ti are just a freaking monster!
  3. Try to troubleshoot the cause, because right now its just random guesses. type cmd on windows search bar and run with admin privilages powercfg –lastwake // to see what device made windows wake powercfg -devicequery wake_armed //to see what devices are allowed to wake the pc. If the last wake was none I would suspect a motherboard issue. Post your result for further help.
  4. I would go with I PC if your main flow is premiere pro. Only con is the Prores codec exporting is Mac only. Still there is a workaround to export Prores directly from Premiere/AME in Windows. PC is very customizable, and robust at your price of 1500. An: I7 4790K, 32GB DDR3 RAM, GPU NVIDIA 970GTX without any big storage, and optical drive would cost from Newegg $1.515 without tax. If you don't live in New York you could probably find most of this parts in BH Photo Video and not pay tax or shipping. [*=1]CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K Devil’s Canyon Quad-Core 4.0 - $399 [*=1]MOB: ASRock Z97 Extreme6 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 - $139 [*=1]RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB DDR3 (X2 KITS 32gb) - $165 [*=1]GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 970 GTX 970 4GD5T Titanium OC 4GB - $309 [*=1]SSD: SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB SATA III - $89 [*=1]PS: Thermaltake PS-TPD-0850MPCGUS-1 850W 80 GOLD PLUS - $119 [*=1]CAS: CM Storm Trooper - Gaming Full Tower - $149 [*=1]MON: LG 25UM56-P Black 25" IPS HDMI ULTRAWIDE 2K - $199 Its just an example, you could go for the newer socket 1151 / skylake. But I don't justify the poor performance gains with the new intel i7-6700k. Plus the ddr4 memory is extremely expensive compared to ddr3 and not worth it at the moment. Besides judging how intel is basically just improving energy efficiency / shrinking dies instead of increasing performance, feels not so promising to invest more on a platform that just wont give you much performance for the extra bucks that you are paying.

  6. Wow I didn't expect that from MS. If they would just made Internet explorer better I could trust them with R. PI Just kidding.
  7. Not unless your a developer, or know at least willing some classes of Unreal engine which its pretty easy to setup oculus. Its just to early, you will be paying for a working prototype with bugs that I have seen. If you want the experience I think there's a cheap kit for android phone and small apps to feel the 3d surrounding you
  8. The oldies are the best The Drew Carey Show and Space Ghost Coast to Coast with Zorak. OMG I love those shows
  9. HI nice to meet you. I'll also new but my posts wont go thro : ( Well this post got through YAy
  10. I dig mw86 said. Eurocom has everything pro built in **raid, e-gpu, ram expansion, xeons **. If your encoding h264 with premiere pro/ame. Just note that the 900 series geforce won't use cude for encoding. Nvidia changed the way it encodes videos from NVCUVENC to NVENC with almost none supports. SUCKS. Try to go for an eight core with the Panther 5SE
  11. You should check eurocom site they have server and workstation laptops. From an 4 - 12 core xeons and i7 with options of raid, up to 32 gb ram and quadro options. I think they are from canada buy you can order it online.
