I have used OBS a fair bit with no issues. I really don't see a need to use shadowplay other than a desire to have one less minimal program installed on your computer.

I would recommend against laptop cooling pads. They really don't accomplish much. I've gotten better results than a $40 pad with 4.5 star ratings on amazon by building a hollow riser out of a cut up cardboard box.

There just isn't that much content out there even offered in 4k for it to be worth it right now in my opinion. Unless you are already really committed to star citizen, in which case maybe.

radryan is correct. In order to play blu-rays you will need a player which has paid for the license to play them in addition to your drive, if you restored it to factory, check if it came with powerdvd or some other media player that may have the license.
