  1. This is the maximum that I can get. 1202 MHz (1.00V) / 2935 mhz with the same frequencies if i increase 0.25V after a few minutes of benchmarks i have tdp error but if I put ram at 2000MHz i can be up to 1320 1.10v stable but have lower results in bencmark. seems that the card struggle to feed ram + gpu over a certain power. the gpu rises smoothly even 1350mhz only keeping the Rams to minimum. probably is a structural limit of the GPU
  2. i tried your setting with no result. is so strange that i can increse a lot gpu frequency not touching ram or vice versa. can be a compatibility issue? i noticed that when i flash new v bios i have always different PCI Subsystem ID (see the picture) have you gays a bios fully compatible with this id(1028.05AA) ?
  3. guys i received the 330w power supply but i have stel the same problem... looks like the gpu goes in a kind of power limitation and freeze with blu screen and tdp error. i saw that if i increase ram frequency to +400 with gpu stock is stable... the same if i keep ram to stock and gpu +180 with 1.068v. if for example i put +400 ram and just +50 on the gpu 1.068v or +180 gpu and +50 ram after few minutes of valley benchmark everything freeze and tdp error come out. i don't know what try anymore i used prema bios 1.1.1v and the one from svl7 with same result can be a driver problem? i tried thousand driver and file inf.
  4. the connector is the same or should be changed? i have got alienware 17 r5
  5. i'm using 240 Watt Psu... i just noticed that most of you has 330 Watt.. probably this is the problem.... i was trying to find a 330 psu alienware but i didn't find any model compatible. which one are you using?
  6. Hi Everybody, first of all sorry for my english i bought a gtx980m from eurocom website to replace gtx880 in the alienware m17x r5. first of all i don't know why but this card is not recognized by any kind of official driver and i need always to replace the .inf file. anyway i noticed that whit stock driver and bios was throttling realy often and i decided to flush few vbios just to try. i tried prema, msi , clevo bios but after few minutes without throttling i have tdp error and everything crush. this is happening whit win 10 and 8.1 and whit different kind of driver... temperatures don't exeed 74 C the strange thing is that with all custom bios even if i don't touch frequency after few minutes in game the screen froze and came out blu screen with tdp error (nvlddmkm.sys)the gpu looks working fine without throttling att all. i tried to increase voltage or power limit value but no improvement. maybe somthing wrong with .inf file or driver. one more thing is that after pc restart automatically on desktop came out kernel video stop work and freeze again one more time... anybody can help me? i mixed a lot of different driver and file inf with no result and i'm getting crazy
  7. Hello all! I'm from italy and I have an AW M17 r5 with an i7-4710MQ CPU, 16 DDR3 GB RAM with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M with 8GB VRAM. I'm new here and want to learn more about modding and overclocking.
  8. Hi Everybody, first of all sorry for my english:torn: i bought a gtx980m from eurocom website to replace gtx880 in the alienware m17x r5. first of all i don't know why but this card is not recognized by any kind of official driver and i need always to replace the .inf file. anyway i noticed that whit stock driver and bios was throttling realy often and i decided to flush few vbios just to try. i tried prema, msi , clevo bios but after few minutes without throttling i have tdp error and everything crush. this is happening whit win 10 and 8.1 and whit different kind of driver... the worst thing is that i lost the stock bios and even whit some msi or clevo stock bios i have this kind of problem but less then custom vbios. looks like i can overclock ram frequency without any problem but if i touch voltage and gpu frequency goes in error. now i tried to reduce 50 mhz leaving voltage on "-0+. seems to be better but still unstable and i think i will come back to stock frequency. just for information the max reached temperature with more than 1250mhz was 74 c any suggestion? and please if somebody bought my same gpu can send me the stock bios? i will appreciate
