have you tried the obvious thing? Tear down, dust out, repaste?

its very possible to create a larger watt psu as mr.fox's post examples, in regard to the cooling, its probably possible to up the fan RPM or perhaps thicken or increase the density of fins on the current 150w coolers

th I have had so many issues with dual 580m's in my R1, If you are having any boot issue I always recommend a gpu reseat before giving up.

Windows 10 has many problems with the M18xR1 for sure, however I overclock my display on windows 7, sometimes as high as 90hz over the stock 60hz. However it can cause faint issues or catastrophic failure. Just a natural risk of going and doing what the manufacturer doesn't officially support.
