  1. If that's your board, then it looks like the bios chip is soldered between the first and second pci-e slot. There's a header next to it that might be wired to it and could allow you to reprogram the chip without soldering. Thanks @Conker for finding the board with so few information. EDIT: If you need a bios chip I might be able to help you.
  2. There's no such file, read the instructions carefully, you need to create that file with the BiosFixer. I'll fix that link. You run into heat issues. Renew the thermal compound in your system and maybe consider lowering the GPU voltage, if possible without loosing stability. Uh, bad idea. Don't use this if you want a working GPU. That's only properly working when that stupid boost stuff is active... I could provide a bios with stock vbios.
  3. If possible, yes, but I can't guarantee that... also I will need bios dumps and people who are willing to do some testing.
  4. Latest bios on the system? Do you know which vbios is on the GPU?
  5. Optimus shouldn't be the problem... I got several GPUs working in my M15x, even though it has no optimus whatsoever. @qlqltls: What exactly is the problem?
  6. What do you mean with "it does not work"? That really doesn't give us any information at all. At least post the error messages you get when installing the drivers. Don't forget that you'll need to override the driver signature enforcement.
  7. According to your screenshot you did not flash the ultra bay vbios. If you already have a 3.05 backup of your bios then you can skip the first steps and flash directly from your modified 2.07. You still need to flash the EC though... Since you flash from the modified 2.07 you won't need to remove the wlan card since the whitelist is removed in the mod version of 2.07.
  8. Make sure you're using the DOS version of nvflash and not the windows version. You'll also have to disable secure boot and enable the legacy boot stuff in order to flash from DOS if I' m not mistaken. That's odd, -5 shouldn't be necessary. Can I see the original vbios of that second card?
  9. That's a business-grade laptop that comes with an encrypted firmware. It most likely won't be possible to flash the firmware and even if it was you are likely to end up with a bricked machine. So... no.
  10. Anyone else getting this error? If so please let me know, including detailed error message. You can only flash the ultra bay gpu per nvflash, the other vbios is part of the bios.
  11. Should work... try the attached file. Also maybe read here: http://forum.techinferno.com/alienware-m17x-aw-17/5328-m17xr4-upgrade-gpu-gtx770m.html nvdmi.zip
  12. No, you also need to flash the ultra bay gpu, that one is still stock on your screenshot. See second post for details. I'm not sure whether usb dvd drives are working during boot. The recovery procedure doesn't work? Whoopsie, my bad, thanks for pointing out, I'll fix that.
  13. There's a reason why I recommend flashing from DOS and it stays that way.
  14. Ah, yeah, you can just flash the official v3.05 update to go back to stock, I'll add that. In this case no backup file is required. Vbios - you should now get proper boost all the time and full control with under- and overvolting capabilities.
  15. You need to modify some files to get the driver to install, see here: http://forum.techinferno.com/nvidia/5249-%5Bguide%5D-modding-nvidia-oem-inf-files.html
  16. Main post updated with instructions for flashing v3.05. Let me know if anything is unclear.
  17. Does the system POST? Can you boot DOS blindly?
  18. Right-click on the problematic application -> properties -> compatibility -> check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" -> apply -> OK
  19. Did you actually test it or do you just claim that it won't work? I'd be very surprised if the voltage I set is too low for the 755m. On this note, is there some more input for a version with a lower default voltage? Anyone interested? As I said, you guys would have to tell me what's a stable voltage at default boost clocks. I'll update the first post with instructions now. Can't make a video, I don't have an Y510p / Y410p.
  20. ACPI has a Win 8.1 entry, that's about the only OS specific change in the BIOS as far as I know. Mod is available in the Y510p / Y410p mod thread - http://forum.techinferno.com/lenovo-ibm/4668-lenovo-y410p-y510p-unlocked-bios-wlan-whitelist-mod-vbios-mod.html Discussion can continue there. - closed -
  21. Cool, even though I can't recommend that test, not necessarily healthy for the voltage supply circuits of the GPU. Anyway, would be nice to see if 1v is game stable for everyone. Yes.
  22. Cool, I might make a little adjustment when I get back home. If you guys can agree on a different default 3d voltage or/and clocks that should be stable for everyone then let me know. No need to hurry, won't be able to nöd stuff for some days.
