  1. I don't mean to be disrespectful in any way, but have you even tried investigating and reading how to implement an eGPU? Start at page 1, Nando made a superve summation of how to start. begin with finding your specification regarding motherboard and so on.
  2. I was thinking of using my ACER 5738ZG for a eGPU setup. After some research (including disassemble the laptop) I found that I only had access to mPcie slot 2 and 3 (verified by moving my wifi-card). This indicates that 2x-link would not work since you'll need available mPCIE slots in pairs of either 1+2 or 3+4 etc. Also, I found that there is a HD4500 (iGPU) located on the motherboard but since it's physically disabled by intel and can't be activated, this kills the option for any 1.x-opt implementation. To conclude: No possibility for 2x-link nor 1.x-opt. For performance you should really look into what Nando suggested regarding swapping to a low cost sandy-bridge system. NANDO: correct me if I'm wrong about the 2x-link.
  3. I'm sorry Nando, I posted the wrong link before! This is what I wanted to show you. If you look at the third picture you can see 3x outputs, that could be it?
  4. Ok I see, the reason I looked at this power brick was due to its dimensions. I want something that is shaped as a graphics card in order to make something slick. So maybe I can find something similar that have a 5v rail as well. I'm amazed of the low consumption by the 660/660ti! If I find something suitable I post it here for opinions, thanks a lot for keeping this AWESOME thread alive =) What about this power brick?
  5. Hi guys! Can anyone comment on this idea of a setup for my eGPU project: GPU: GTX 660/GTX 660-ti Power: 350w power brick Interface: PE4L-PM060A Do you think that the "power brick" be compatible as supplier for a GTX 660-ti setup?
  6. That's great! I've posted the link in the old [1.0] thread =)
  7. Hi Nando. How about starting a new thread dedicated for eGPU? I'm still very motivated to discuss this subject and try to help others.
  8. I'm sorry, didn't see your post in time. @Nando, maybe you should create a thread for this discussion? The poll is up now
  9. Hi Nando. I'm really disappointed in the way you have been treated and I just want so show my support. Is there a new eGPU-thread going on here @ techinferno? If so I want to promote it in your former thread before they ban/censore me.
