  1. Ok, I think I have now a working Windows configuration (I don't use the eGPU in Mac). It's a little bit strange, but as it works I don't want to break something so I'll let my Mac like that. Here is what I've done, in this order : - installed gfxCardStatus 2.3 - 10.11 GM - removed nvidia drivers with the nvidia uninstall option - did a automate-egpu -uninstall gfxCardStatus is still activated. The Mac boots successfully half the time on windows after a OS X boot with the AKiTiO plugged in, and every times it boots, I have the Thunderbolt detected. Despite the uninstallation of automate-egpu, I still have /Library/LaunchDaemons/automate-eGPU-daemon.plist file and the /usr/local/bin/automate-eGPU.sh script. Perhaps it is still useful in something... or not... For information, here is my nvram related variables. 2. I tried this week-end, but it's worse. I can't make the thunderbolt recognised at all after a OS X boot, even after multiple try. What do you mean by the dGPU being used at rebooting ? How can I manage it ?
  3. 1. I installed Win10 ni EFI mode, not in BIOS mode. 2. I'm using Bootcamp 6.0. I deleted the nvidia folder before installing them. What I've got too is that thunderbolt devices are not detected each time I boot in Windows. I don't know why... Even my Ethernet adapter have this issue.
  4. Sometimes, it seems that automate-eGPU 0.9.5 -a mode works, but I can't find a procedure which works each time. I have a thunderbolt ethernet adapter and often neither the ethernet or the AKiTiO are detected. I have to reboot multiple times again on the Mac where I hot plug the box before booting on Windows and cross my fingers. Perhaps it's an EFI Windows 10 issue.
  5. Hi YocYoc, sorry to bother you, but I read in the forum that you could enable integrated card (iris pro) in Windows 10. I honestly did not understand the explanation they gave to accomplish this (by refind), if you could explain me so easy as you do it step by step greatly I appreciate it, because I need to improve the service life of the battery. Regards.

  6. Is the update to 10.10.5 could make the deal instead of reinstalling OS X ? Or if it's not enough, I'm pretty sure the Combo update will contain the original kexts. [EDIT] I've just downloaded the update (the one from 10.10.4, not the combo) and all the extensions you include in the BackupKexts function of automate-egpu are included in the update.
  7. Same situation here. My configuration is a rMBP 15" Late 2013 with GT 750M + AKiTiO + GTX 970, and I can't boot when I plug the AKiTiO before powering the Mac on. What works : - power on the AKiTiO 1 second after the Mac chime which corresponds to Simurgh5 procedure (works on OS X or Windows) - power on Mac OS X with goalques scripts installed, power on the AKiTiO, retart (on OS X or Windows). If on my configuration, the mac boot, but the eGPU is not detected, the same procedure with the same rMBP of a friend works great. Perhaps it's because I'm EFI and he is MBR, or perhaps because I've played to much with my OS X, Windows and EFI partitions that something is broken.
  8. I'm using Windows 10 and it works. I can't remember which driver I have installed, but I'm pretty sure it was the windows update ones.
  9. Hello, I'm happy to share my young experience about my eGPU. I'm using a MacBook Pro 15" late 2013 core i7 2,6 Ghz, with an intel iris Pro, nVidia GT 750M, 16 Go RAM. I wanted the most plug and play solution, so I choose an ATiKiO Thunder2, a DELL DA-2, the great already made ebay cables, and a innod3D GTX 970 OC Compact video card which fills into the AKiTiO without any modification. I can't close the box because of the cables, which is in fact good for the heat. [sTATUS] I can play games on Windows, but need to power on the box this way : startup the Mac, power on and plug in the AKiTiO, restart under windows. At this point, I don't have a black Screen, but the GTX 970 is not detected. I restart again, and it works. After this sequence, I can restart the MacBook safely under windows or Mac with the box plugged in. Hardware Configuration : - MacBook Pro late 2013 GT 750M - AKiTiO Thunder2 - DA-2 DELL Power Supply - eBay power cable - nVidia Inno3D 970 OC Compact - Samsung 24" Screen using an HDMI cable Software Configuration : - OS X 10.10 and Windows 10 installed on the internal SSD, everything in EFI mode - Games installed on an external USB 3 2"1/2 drive - automate_egpu.sh installed (this make the GPU works under OS X and better under Windows) When it works, the wow effect is here ! I can play Witcher 3 in high settings (with Hair Works) with a very comfortable frame rate. BUT, it's very hard to make it work. I need to power on the Mac, wait 1 second, and power on the AKiTiO. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Installing refind didn't help, and neither activate the F8 menu in Windows. If anyone have any advice about this, it would be great. [EDIT]Now, thanks to automate_egpu.sh and with the good startup sequence, it works better : - unplug the AKiTiO - start the mac on OS X - plug the AKiTiO and power it on - restart under Windows - restart again under windows. [EDIT 2]Grrr... back at home, and I can't reproduce this scheme. When I manage tp restart the Mac with the card plugged in, it is not detected... I also rarely have a windows notification telling me the nvidia driver stops to work and needed to be restarted, I then need to restart the game. I will try with another DA-2 Power supply and another thunderbolt cable. Benchmarks Firestrike score : 8444.
