  1. The last few months I've been having problems with my laptop, when I move it and I turn it on the computer does not detect my discrete graphics, I was kind of freaked out at first but then I deceided to shake it a little bit and like magic it worked again. Then I deceided to update my drivers, I unlocked my A10 Bios and disable my integrated graphics (so I could update my drivers) they work awesome, actually I don't have any problems except that when I have the problem with the discrete graphics the screen either turns black or white I move it or shake it and it works great, also if I move the lid (upwards) screen turns black, then I stop turns on, I push it again black, and so on I mean the laptop screen has never stopped working once I'm playing or working or once I shake it. I think its probably a bad contact with the gpu cable that goes to the screen, at first I thought it was the gpu because this problem NEVER happens when I was on integrated graphics. What do you think I should do?
  2. I've done that on my laptop temps are great, I mean 12 degrees celsius less than with stocks, (alienware), they do an awful work pasting their computers, and they use a cheap thermal paste. what brand is your computer? and BTW I used AC5 also.
  3. About the warranty I don't know how close you are to him or her, you can ask him or her to give you a warranty I don't know 90 days perhaps depending on his or her reaction you will know if something's wrong with the laptop, it has its risks switching laptops mostly on the warranty issue... well good luck with that I hope you make the right choice. Cheers.
  4. Hmmm Hardware speaking the x7200 wins, the R2 is better-looking (some people may consider this important), you should check the cooling aspects you don't want to burn your hands, the warranty is a little bit risky... have you tried the computer you are trading?
  5. I´ve had a Few issues with my first m17x r3, (and it was Mostly for sthetic issues) and I got obsessed with the keyboard frame not staying put (actually the person who came to change that didn't knew how to put it) I took that as an advantage to get my replacement (my computer was perfectly functional) I got my replacemente with more RAM, HDD capacity, and better GPU, when they dropped my new rig the forgot the old one, I sold the old one and I lived happily ever after.
  6. I think that the nvidia Drivers should be the ones that dell created for your GPU, Have you tried installing the 580 or 680 gtx (from dell), I have a 6990m I updated to 7970m drivers and I'm amazed. It performs WAAAY better, no crashing or lagging. The only part where I get the BSOD is when I install the drivers, (I need to close all programs and that happens when it gets to the part of the display drivers).
