M18x r1? I believe you can mess around with memory timings in the bios under performance settings if it's not using your rams rated timings.

Out of all drivers I've used with my 6990m CrossfireX 12.7b with 12.9 cap 1 gives the absolute best performance compared to previous drivers and the newer 12.8 and 12.9b. Offers the best performance with Sleeping Dogs for me as well, great set of drivers.

16gb of 2133mhz with one dimm in each channel will give you better performance if you're into benchmarks, but in real world situations you won't notice too much of a difference verus 1600mhz unless you're utilizing your IGPU a ton. 32GB of 1600mhz would only be useful if you did massive amounts of photo and video editing. Personally, I'd stick with the 2x8 2133mhz dims with one dimm in each channel

I use the tactX alienware mouse at the moment, feels pretty nice! Goes with my m18x which I'm parting with soon. Anyways, I'm not sure of the actual DPI, I never actually installed the software lol but I'm guessing the setting I'm using is around 1200 DPI.

I'm usually geared towards the performance to price ratio and that usually entailed AMD. Although if I have extra cash to spare I always spring towards the nearest Nvidia solution simply because I've had better luck with their drivers because in my opinion they are less finicky and problematic.
