  1. Has anyone in the UK been able to source this enclosure? Both of the UK retailers/distributors listed on AKiTiO's website don't carry the product in one way or another: scan.co.uk list it as a pre-order without any indication to when the product will be available, while Smithie UK don't even list it on their website. I contacted Smithie UK since I live near Basingstoke so it'd be super convenient, but no reply so far. So I looked to Germany due to the sheer amount of distributors there and found format.de, who sell it for EUR 250 if you include DHL shipping to the UK. Has anyone in the UK found a cheaper deal? MAG.de didn't want to give me an account since I am not a commercial customer… Cheers! I hope this is the right thread to post this in.

Does an external monitor plugged into the eGPU work on OS X? Cheers!
  3. Aha, that must've been what was confusing me. Thanks for clearing that up! Unfortunately I don't have any hex editing skills, so I won't be of much help in that regard.
  4. Maybe it's me, but I'm still finding it difficult to find out how supported the 2014 rMBP 13" with Iris Pro 5100 graphics is for my specific potential setup. I have a GTX 660 Ti, which is a Kepler card and want to use three monitors; one connected via DP, one via DVI, and one via HDMI, all directly to the graphics card. The AKiTiO thunder2 PCIe box is what most seem to use, and since I've got an nVidia card there certainly aren't any AMD incompatibility issues… Does anybody know whether this particular setup could work with Yosemite? I don't plan to use the retina screen when the eGPU is active. Everyone in these threads seems to have newer graphics cards, though from what I can gather is that the 2014 rMBP is on some kind of blacklist and needs old Mavericks kexts? Has anyone had any success with a similar setup? Thanks in advance!

Having read some of the posts on this forum I've seen people reporting mixed/no results for running the 2014 rMBP 13" with external monitors and OS X. As I am a student with basically no money and with the AKiTiO costing £200 I'd really like this to work with no major issues. Is it possible for you to confirm whether OS X works with external an monitor connected in this particular setup using the 2014 13" rMBP? Thank you ever so much in advance!
