  1. Even if the laptop didn't use two nvidia cards?
  2. Hi, yes I just disabled my gt750m in device manager and restarted my laptop. I am using nvidia GTX1060 6GB from Zotac in mini version.
  3. Hi and thanks for the reply. Just tested it and everything works fine.
  4. Hi, could you describe how to get the internal display to work with the eGPU?
  5. Good to hear. I tried it with GTX1070Ti which is nearly the same performance as GTX1080. Keep in mind that for 1080p and higher resolutions it is good to have more than 8GB of RAM.
  6. Just a little teaser. Unigine heaven benchmark maxed out on GTX 1070 Ti.
  7. Unfortunattely I don't know why but this hp program tells me that my pendrive is write protected... I'm on win 10.
  8. Ok, I am creating freeDOS on my 4GB pendrive. Will test it out. Tried it even with 1GB one, still doesn't work.
  9. The label is just simple 8GB. I just tried whole procedure with second vga and it still make the same error message.
  10. I've done whole procedure using portable rufus. I attached the SHA-256 of the locale, beside you can see that I have only what is needed. Maybe the problem is that modded bios was made when the second vga was removed. I will retry the whole procedure with second vga attached and then we will see what happens. Thanks!
  11. Just tried to flash BIOS and EC with second vga but still no luck so far. Still EC gives the same error. What would you suggest about freedos? Both cards work, and other parts of the PC works as well. Thanks in advance.
  12. I had nothing installed in the slot, I will try with second gt750m attached and see what happens. PC boots without any problem so far.
  13. Hi, I followed the guide though one thing didn't work as should. When I executed ec to flash the soft DOS gave me something like this: DOS memory buffer 2 allocate failed.
  14. Hi las weekend was a bit busy. But this weekend I definitely try your mod. I have an old gtx275 so I'll test it out. Thanks for your work! Regards, Mariusz.
  15. Hi, thanks for the reply. I will try to work with the bios files during this weekend.
  16. Hi, I am interested in modding bios so I can use nvidia cards, Can you tell me what programs do you use to look into bios files? Thanks in advance.
  17. Hi, will be there any other changes? I think I have second version of the adapter. On the PCB is written Ultrabay/2. Thanks in advance.
  18. Yesterday I received my adapter, plugged it in without any card and got message about unauthorized card etc. I changed 1k resistor with 10k one mentioned on previous page and it started with the adapter plugged in (still without card) without any problem at all.
  19. For me it worked without any problem at all. Check the soldering, does the ssd get warm or maybe hot? I have used unlocked bios with ahci on. Regards.
  20. Hi I found which one I exactly bought. It was this one: http://www.tme.eu/pl/details/123a-32ba0-r01/zlacza-do-kart/attend/# Cheers!
  21. Hi I bought that connector on tme.eu. I don't remember the height but it was probably this one: http://www.tme.eu/pl/details/123a-32ba0-r01/zlacza-do-kart/attend/ I'll check which one exactly it was and report back. Regards, Mariusz.
  22. Hi guys I have soldered the m.2 slot myself and got it working. Look here (last post): https://www.techinferno.com/index.php?/forums/topic/7548-lenovo-y510p-self-soldered-m2-slot/
  23. Hi guys. It took me a while but I managed to get the thing working. Under the connector there are 8 smd parts that need to be installed. Four of them are capacitors for AC coupling sata singals, value of the capacitors are 10nF, the other four are jumpers. I've got only picture of capacitors installed by me, I made jumpers out of thin single core copper wire. Here are some pictures:
  24. Well unfortunately BIOS see only my 1TB sshd disk. SSD is not visible.
  25. It's strange because Windows 8.1 doesn't see the disk, and BIOS also doesn't see this disk. This is normal?
