Thanks for the quick response. Have just ran 3Dmark11 X mode at 1080p in which GTX 670 is 3x GT 650M scores, but I guess I have to forget about benchmarks and get that external LCD to test in game. BTW, for the best performance, do I just connect the external LCD to eGPU and switch to secondary display only in windows? I have already disable the High Definition Audio on GTX 670 in Device Manager, is there any other trick I can use when I get that external LCD?

I installed win 8.1 and finally got my GTX 670 to work with just DSDT override! I have got some reasonable benchmark results with considerable improvement over GT 650M but somehow the performance in game is actually worth... Games that I have tried: Minecraft, Thief, Final Fantasy XIII. I haven't installed any other games in this new system, but I think its enough to show that I have the problem of eGPU giving worth performance than dGPU despite better benchmark scores. System and games run stably with eGPU on Gen2. I can even switch between dGPU Optimus and eGPU Optimus by enable and disable corresponding PCI Express Root Ports without reboot. I really have no ides why this happened. Could someone give me a hint? (P.S. I am using the internal display, but I don't think that can explain GTX 670 performance worth then GT 650M in game, giving the better benchmark results. I don't have an external display with me right now, I can only test it with an external display when I get back to my place next month.) Thanks in advance! 3Dmark06 19954 3Dmark11 Graphics Score 7092 RE5 93.3 (All settings as suggested in Implementations Hub: TB, EC, mPCIe) My system: Dell Inspiron 17R 7720 i7-3610QM 16GB RAM GT 650M GTX 670 PE4C V2.1 mPCIe Gen2 x1 (SW2 on 2) Windows 8.1 x64 UEFI GPT (DSDT override)

I am trying to make my connection setup nice and find this P22S-P22F extender. I also searched and found it is usd in this guide. This guide only use Gen1 speed but I have a PE4C V2.1 on Gen2. I can't find any info about its supporting gen or speed on web. I assume it will also work on Gen2 speed since it is just an extender with some wires and passive components, but I just want to be safe. Has any one ever tried to use it with a Gen2 adapter?

Hi. I'm running win7 x64 on GPT and UEFI with legacy option. I just got my PE4C V2.1 and is having trouble with code 12, DSDT Override also seems not working. I would like to know would the DIY eGPU Setup 1.30 software work with my system installation or do I have to reinstall on MBR and legacy BIOS?
