  1. ok try this: on the command prompt, type “Diskpart” on the diskpart> prompt, type “sel disk 0” (number zero) then “list vol” to list the partition on your drive, Look for the partition formated in “FAT 32″ with no letter assigned Select the partition using “sel vol n”, assign a letter using “assign letter=b:” Now exit dispart using “exit” type “cd /d b:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot” type “bootrec /fixboot” Rename the BCD file, type “ren BCD BCD.bak” Recreate the BCD file, type “bcdboot c:\Windows /l en-us /s b: /f ALL” Quit and reboot, hope this helps.
  2. I believe once you have a bootable media i.e. usb or DVD you will be able to boot from it and through recover options you can get your issue resolved easily. I had a similar issue and was bale to resolve it.
  3. you can download the win 8.1 iso from microsoft directly obviously its requires key to be activated and follow the guide here to make a bootable usb UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows. hope this helps
  4. I own a y510p sli and indeed its one of the best laptops out there for gaming. There is no comparison on the performance with the price you pay. I personally like y510p over y50 but again its my personal choice.
  5. Alternatively you can use Broadcom BCM94352HMB 802.11ac Dual Band 2x2 AC+Bluetooth if you dont want bios modded and you can buy it from Ali Express. It seems to be in the Lenovo certified list
