If I had to, I would just get a USB adapter, but I would like to avoid keeping one of my USB ports occupied for WiFi. Luckily I was finally able to flash my bios and a new Intel AC 7260 is on the way Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I purchased my y510p a year and a half ago and I am generally happy with it. I upgraded the SSD from a 24GB to a 256GB and aim to replace the WiFi card from the Intel's 7260N to Intel's 7260AC just as soon as I can remove the whitelist on the BIOS

Thanks, I've been (unsuccessfully) trying to use the bios mod on here, but I can't see to get my BIOS back to v3.05 so I'm trying to see how much more expensive it would be to just buy a Lenovo dual band AC card instead. Unfortunately, the only AC card on that list (liteon bcm4352) is proving to be very difficult to find online

I'm having some issues enabling backflash. I enable the backflash option in the bios, but it resets to disabled every time I reboot Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Does anyone know if there is an updated guide for BIOS v3.07? I have tried to backflash the BIOS to v3.05, but after it says it was successfully flashed, the BIOS remains at v3.07

Hello, I have had my Y510P for about a year and a half and it has served me well. Unfortunately the WiFi has become sporadic over the last few months, dropping connections and requiring resetting the WiFi adapter to regain my network connection. Thinking it could be an issue with the noisy 2.4 GHz spectrum, I swapped my 7260N with a dual band card from my roommate's old laptop. The laptop refused to boot, which I later found was because of Lenovo's WiFi card whitelist. Does anyone know of a dual band whitelisted card? I saw a 7260AC card with Lenovo's FRU on Amazon, but the reviews said that it didn't pass the whitelist. Thanks, Tuskator
