  1. If I want to use GTX680M I must have 120Hz display on my laptop? Because I have 60Hz. That's why I have black screen if I use GTX680M only? (with disabled optimus and HD4000)
  2. Current BIOS X17? It's some kind of unlocked BIOS or what? I think dell have only A5, A9, A11, A12 and latest is A13
  3. When I press FN+F7 with using UEFI and restart laptop, he restart it twice and switch back to optimus. When I use BIOS and disable UEFI boot then after FN+F7 my system start normally because I hear skype login sound, but I have black screen. With 660M was everything good, but afted upgrade to 680M I have black screen and no idea why.
  4. This HD4000 is on CPU? Same chip? If yes then if I buy new CPU and change it, then I fix HD4000 too?
  5. Yes. With integrated HD4000 no, but after I switch integrated HD4000 off then I have black screen. Windows working good because I hear skype login sound but screen is black. I also can press FN+F7 to swich back, but I cant use it with two graphics because then I have grained screen. So I have grained screen when I using Integrated and Dedicated graphics and black screen when I using only Dedicated graphic card
  6. 73°C max. with furmark stress test. With old 660M max 63°C with same test. PSU 240W dell ac adapter
  7. I have black screen with new GTX680. If I use also HD4000 then I see everyting. OS found new graphic card and I install last drivers but when I press atl+F7 to swich for GTX680 after restart all what I see is black screen. What should I do? Flash VBIOS or what? actual vbios version: 80.04.33.00.32
  8. I wish to have same problem like you because my integrated HD4000 is probably broken. I have grained screen. Tried everything and still don't fix it.
  9. Thanks, I used Fujipoly Extreme 1,5mm, 11W/mK and also thermal paste because 1,5 was not enough, then 3mm and 5 mm. IC Diamond 7 for GPU. Temperature 3°C higher like on old 660M but I think it's minimum difference. Bad is that I cant use it on 100% because one eBay seller send me broken 240W ac adapter so I still waiting for new one and using old 180W which is not good. BIOS always showing me warning and asking me to change it for 240W
  10. Maybe it's a stupid question, but why is A13 better for win 8,1 then A11 or A12? I have M17xR4/ i7 3630QM/ GTX660M upgraded to GTX680M and if I forget on problem with dithering screen when using both graphics (HD4000 must be disabled and dithering is gone) then everything is ok. Or it seems to be.
  11. Thanks, ordered. And you use only this one size? I saw some videos and it looks that there is also 1mm or 0.5mm.
  12. what kind of thermal pads I can use for 680m? What thickness? I don't want to use the old one from 660m. edit: I found 5,6,7,11W/mK which one is enough? And thickness 0,5-3mm. which one?
  13. Hi I have M17x-R4 with HD4000 and GTX 660m. Want to upgrade to 680m. I have three pipe heatsink but don't know if its 100W or 75W. Also I have 180W ac adapter and I think it's not enough for this card. So I should to buy 240W ac adapter. BIOS version is A13. It mus be all right, and VBIOS I have got no idea, but I ask seller to flash it for M17x-R4. But my biggest problem now is with shared graphic card HD4000. I have grainin screen. Not everywhere. Most on the place where colors are change. If I use wrong pixel test and display only one colour, then everything was good. If laptop is cold and I switch it on after one or more hours then screen looks like with 256 colours only. Then after temperature grows it better and better but dithering really never disappear. I try to upgrade drivers, flash BIOS but nothing helps. Only if I switch HD4000 off with FN+F7 and using only GTX 660m, then screen is without problems. Sorry for my english, but I learn this language only half year from South Park series So can anybody help me with this? I mean with this video cards
